C'mon, we all know you have a Crosby jersey somewhere in the far back of your closet where no one can see it...... - cap1681
My Pens fan friend mailed me his Orpik jersey. It should arrive tomorrow. Kind of funny, haha. |

Brooks is going to be great for your team, he is exactly what you needed. I personally hope he absolutely levels a few Pens. |

So logically, he can easily have a 20-40 point jump in a different system, right? I mean, you said it. But uh...he's never scored more than 81 points in a season, and that wasn't with Sutter. - Blackstrom2
Correct, Murray was the coach before him who instituted the defensive system. |

Tough contract to give out but I always really like Orpik. I still think he's useful however that contract kind of sets him up for failure there. |

When I first heard the signing announced, I honestly thought it would be like 16/4, at the most, but more like 6/2. The term is brutal. |

Ridiculous contract, but he can still play. He was having a pretty good season until Thorton assaulted him. I know that doesn't make you feel better, but he'll provide some necessary physicality and leadership for your team.....albeit at an extreme cost. |

Kopitar is a great player, probably top 10 in the NHL, but is no where near Crosby's level. That nothing to be ashamed of though, because no one is. Kopitar may be a better 2 way player, but that doesn't offset how far ahead Crosby is offensively. |

Random thought of the day:
Does Kapenen satisfy the criteria we were looking for in drafting a non-vanilla forward? He was rated high but is there anything exciting about him? Is he Beau Bennett 2.0? Would we have been better off drafting Ho-Sang or Sherbak? |

LOL Crosby scored 103 points in Therrien's system when he was still a kid. Not sure you're going to find a worse system than that unless you go back to Jagr vs Constantine...... |

Megnatron resigned. Watch this kid break out this year with an expanded roll. |

I like Megnatron. I really only see 3rd line upside with him, though. He's a better version of Joe Vitale (more physical, mediocre hands) but isn't ever going to score a lot. His ceiling is Tyler Kennedy, IMO. |

Never said Kopitar was better offensively then Crosby. Crosby has sick hands and a skill set that is one of the best. Crosby with his skating ability and his low CG is amazing on his skates. Hell, maybe he is the best! |

I guess more middle ground TK. Just talking 3rd line winger who is never quite good enough to reach the top 6. Speed, can bang a little, could score 15 goals in a season. |

I was joking more than anything else with that last post. I actually agree with you, but I still like the guy and I can see him filling gaps here and there with injuries due to his speed and hands. He did quite well on Geno's wing last year before going down with injury. I still believe that if that injury hadn't of happened Gibbons would have never become a regular in the lineup and Megna would have a guaranteed roster spot coming into the season. |
