Poor Grigorenko. He's been so mismanaged. I guess it's good for him financially, as his ELC will expire soon, but his development seems to have been stunted a bit.

yeah, that's a tough one...the chl/nhl deal shouldn't be discounted either...too young for the ahl, too good for junior, not quite ready for the nhl

I still think the Sabres could have put him in a better position to succeed. Centering 2 guys that can barely skate isn't going to help your development whether you're "ready" for the NHL or not. He should have played on the wing somewhere.

25-30 games in rocha will do him good. Don't give up on him yet .

he has all the attributes to be a good center,size,speed,skill,vision,too bad he is not able to pull it all together and make the next step.hell of a talented guy for sure.gl grigo

I agree, an extended(maybe full yr) stint in Rochester under some stability will do wonders for his confidence/ play

Yes Grigorenko didn't get the shot to play with skilled wingers (not that we have star wingers) but that was his chance to put the effort in. Yet the Inner russian came out and he didnt move his feet, like zemgus. Cant just expect to be a 1c

Darcy (frank)ed him by keeping him up his rookie year when ruff was not going to use him properly

darcy really screwed up when he hired a clueless coach with no direction after firing ruff
