Anyone that makes the assumption paccioretty would be going back as the return for letang is forgetting that the Habs would have to find someone else to score empty net goals or have a shot bounce off his leg and in, and celebrate like he won the cup. Also, would it not be troublesome to NOT have paccioretty around to review movies a day after a 'massive' concussion??
As for 'gally' being a worthwhile return...who would the Habs rely on to fall all over opposing goalies every other shift?

Montreal trading for Letang means Subban is out. which i cannot imagine. Letang might be cheaper but he's far less complete a package than PK. wonderful little player but his acquisition would be a bad thing for Montreal.

Anyone who thinks Letang is overpaid has no idea what contracts are going to look like for elite D-men. Jesus, the corpse of Brooks Orpik signed for 5.5mil AAV. Letang's contract is fine.

letang's doctors have said that letang suffering another stroke due to his preexisting condition is less than 1% likely to happen.

i would be more worried about patch's injuries than letangs... i know all montreal players are gods but that is just my opinion.
