to think we could have Barzal or Konecny two Franchise players with the NYI pick
or we could have McDavid or Eichel two generational players ..

We got Leino and Ehrhoff, convinced Regehr to come.
Again, I like Murray, and wanted Darcy gone. But it's another example of historical revisionism that Buffalo fans have.
All because Murray was able to sign a few vets on the 30th place team, history changes from "Darcy gave FA's horrible contracts" to "Darcy couldn't get anyone to come here" - sbroads24
It didnt seem like we had to beg moulson, georges and gionta to come here though. Leino went for the highest bidder and we all had a gut feeling he wasnt worth the money. Im not saying you're wrong. But the circumstances when Darcy was still here were a little different. Technically, NO veteran should want to be here right now. When Darcy was still here, people still thought the sabres might be a player or 2 away from being a legit playoff team.

I think every team's fans are guilty of that, not just Buffalo.

And we could acquire more picks if/when Stafford &/or Stewart get traded
The draft next year should be really fun for us!

I like turtles - Buffalo-Sabres
Why? The turtle is the son of the coach and only goes at 41% of the speed as the rest of the team. Why would anyone want to like turtles besides his tough outer shell? Give me an animal that is fast and can jump around quickly...kinda like a.... |

So I guess just hinting about a rat with a bushy tail can kill a thread now. Imagine if someone posted a picture of one. It would probably take down all of Hockeybuzz. |

Rather have Sekera than Gorges and Compher ? The real point of the trade was getting the pick to get Compher since he was still on the board . Looked good at prospects camp and was big 10 freshman of the year |

On this team, at this time, Gorges is a far FAR better fit. No matter what the difference in stats may be, Gorges is going to be a guy who will pull up the rest of the team every single shift, every single period, every single game. That's the sort of consistency and professiomalism that will help the rebuild.
Seekers isn't made up that way, and is just too inconsistent. |

Can't wait. Good or bad. - BuffaloHardHat
For some reason, I'm looking ward to this season. It reminds me of year 2 of an expansion team...drafted well and brought in some veteran leadership. The recent draftees likely won't be here this season, but there are a couple of young guns I anticipate seeing for auditions at least...Risto, Big Z, Armia, McCabe, etc. Doubt they play on of games here, but do hope they get a taste.
Should be fun to watch the development. |

I have a question for some our brethren here that diligently follow our prospects.
I have been hearing some fantastic things about Linus Ullmark.
Does anyone else here think he may be our goaltender of the future instead of Makarov?
Or are people still high enough on Lieuwen, or perhaps even Enroth?
Just wanted some of y'all's take on our goal tending situation moving forward.
Thank you. |
