If you are actaully thinking about coming to Rochester for a game, i would highly recommend stopping by the Genny Brewery before the game. They have $2 flights downstairs (All $ goes to charity) and decent grub upstairs (bavarian pretzels with beer cheese ). Skip dinosaur, everyone has one now. Then drive home or head to east and alexander. |

though i don't know if we will need another center. - thatsapickle
That would allow Zemgus to move to wing (?)
But who knows what we have to give up to get a guy like that. Maybe we give up a center. |

Haven't the Marlies bounced them from the playoffs a few times the last few years? - Buffalo-Sabres
Chicago got us last year, Marlies the previous 2 times. Yeah, we don't like the Marlies very much. Times might be changing though, no more MacIntyre, Brennan, or D'Amigo. Those 3 single handedly beat us most of the time. |

That's true, but if if we were to get one of McDavid or Eichel then who would we ship out?
Grigorenko would probably have to be the center, right? Plus one of our top defensive prospects too.
I wouldn't send Reinhart and obviously we don't want to send whomever we draft this year. |

Plus goaltending, hopefully, will be more consistent if Enroth and Neuvirth stay healthy. |

Yes for sure. Lieuwen + Makarov can both be extremely effective in the AHL this year. |

Imo, Zemgus, Reinhart, Risto and Zads are the untouchables. Those are probably the guys they'd want though |

The Marlies have the Amerks number these days - Buffalo-Sabres
Actually, I went back and checked out how they did this year. It was 5-5 (not sure about OT or SOL). The Amerks scored 26 goals and the Marlies had 23 (again, not sure if any of those are techically a SO winner). |

I know people love Zemgus, I do too. But if he was in part of a deal to land me a legit top line player ( P Kane, Seguin etc) i do that trade all day. |

Excellent read. I agree 100%, can't put kids in over their heads and expect them to become superstars which is exactly why if Nolan and Murray aren't positive that Ristolainen is NHL ready then send him back down and let him grow. The best thing about him is that we could call him up if we needed/wanted to unlike if he was in the CHL.
I'll throw my Rochester lineup back up here just to show how many good names we have on that roster t be excited about. Obviously some of them might be in the NHL at some point this year and some might even start in the big leagues but this is how I see that team:
W. Carrier - M. Grigorenko - J. Armia
D. Catenacci - P. Varone - Z Dalpe
J. Samuels-Thomas - J. Larsson - N. DesLauriers
M. Ellis - T. Schaller - J. Kea
K. Sundher - C. Jacobs
R. Ristolainen - J. McCabe
T. Strachan - J. Gauthier-Leduc
D. Bagnall - B. Austin
N. Lieuwen
A. Makarov
M. Hackett - Zschalberg
Hey you fixed your lineup! |

From the last:
Three guys I'd target, not from the Avs in no particular order and with an eye on the future as well as now, are:
Couture
Nyquist
Toffoli - grand-magus
I think your best chances lie with Toffoli. Couture I feel is untouchable with Joey Pavs, they're the next wave after Joe/Marleau are gone.
Nyquist, I still don't trust him to be that fantastic. His shooting % was bloated as hell. At this juncture, I wouldn't give up more than St Louis' 15 1st and a mid level prospect. He just hasn't proved that much. Toffoli though..solid wing up and comer. Yeah, I'm on board with that guy. |

I'd go after Dustin Brown... HE has captained 2 Stanley cup winning teams after all...
Edit - I dont think you see the kings make any trades though. They are pretty well set. |

For me, it's gotta be a top line player though.
Imo, Girgs is going to be a special player. |

The West was staaaacked last year, and just added to it this summer.
Good luck to any playoff teams in the East for the next few years, they're going to need it. |

Hey you fixed your lineup! - TheSabresTaco
Adam Varone Deslauriers
Larsson grigorenko armia
Catenacci Dalpe Carrier
Samuels-Thomas Schaller Kea
I don't like adam and armia together. They both need a very responsible defensive forward with them. now clearly grigorenko isn't going to shut anyone down, but larsson might be the best defensive forward we have. Would like a heavier 3rd line, but catenacci can't be a fourth line guy. |

There has been an argument that Pysyk could be desired. McCabe could turn some heads too.
But if we are getting a legit top line player, you defintiely have to give to get. |

I wouldn't put Girgensons and Zadorov in that class. They are good young prospects and their tenacity and size respectively makes them desirable to fans but neither has the potential to be anything close to what Reinhart and Ristolainen could be.
