I was surprised at the term but trust that DL knows what he's doing.Greener showed up big in the PO's after being a scratch plenty of times during the regular season. As was stated, you know what you're going to get from Matt and his hard nosed game and ability to clear the crease is always welcomed. IMO he plays a solid 5-7 role for the next 2 years and then maybe a straight 7 who is kind of another coach out on the ice for the kids, kind of like Odie was...

I think if McNabb starts taking the ice time from a healthy Greene then Greene still has good trade value with that contract. Coming from this D corps he should still have good trade value even if hes out with an injury.
I love watching Greene just truck some forward over in front of the net. Very underrated IMO. A B+ only because he was injured most the year. True warrior and was a beast in the playoffs, especially against Chicago. Glad we still have him!
Is it a semi-risky contract? Yea I'd say so, but for what no. 6 brings to the table both on and off the ice the Kings felt perfectly comfortable in locking him up for another decently lengthy contract.
B+ for sure. Glad we have Greene for a couple more years. you must have balance on the back end. Physical D men like Regehr and Greene are a must in the post season.

Greene is some what of a poster boy for the intangibles
