Wow, I never would have thought Powe was still south of 30. I thought he was much older until I thought about it. Seems like forever since he played for us.

The finals in 2010 seem like longer than forever after all the stuff this team has gone through and the toll its taken on the fans.

Bryzaster, Prongers injury, Lavi losing the locker room and being allowed to come back and wreck the start of last season, the trades of Richards/Carter etc etc....

Its 4 years in calendar years but its aged us 15 years
Flyers fan years are like dog or cat years.....

This team is in a much better place now than a year ago. Of all the mistakes Holmgren made (and any GM will make a lot over seven years) not firing Lavi in April 2013 is second only to the ridiculous nine-year deal he gave Bryzgalov.

Powe instantly reminds of the last time we had a solid fourth line. I really wish he was getting a solid opportunity to make the big club over guys like Rinaldo and White. He could play wing or center, kill penalties and was as physical as his last name. I wonder what went wrong with him outside of being paid too much. The summer we traded Carter and Richards, you almost forget that we lost solid (at the time) players like Leino, Carcillo, Betts and Powe within the transition.
