So what you're saying is. Bergman knows it's a shyt-pit. But he's willing to let owners pay the price just as long as he gets his money. Is that correct? |

Screw the M's. I know there north west. But I want the A's to take it all. Money ball made me a believer. And oh, what do you know Billy Beane actually made trades up to the deadline. More than I can say about the future jobless AA who royally screwed up a wild card run.
It is so hard being a blue jays fan.
I've already devoted myself to the screw you mentality when it comes to it. going Down to Seattle next year. I'm too disappointed too pissed to even consider it. Fukk'em. |

And as a loyal fan I will say this. Yes a lot of it has to do with the garbage on the field. But when Seattle hotels jack up the prices because they Canadians are coming down? Screw it. Until they acquire more pitching I will not be seeing live action. Television is fine for me. 950 over three days is not acceptable. Count me out. |

TSN 1040 and TSN 1410.
So now we are suddenly to believe that they have an interest in the people and teams of Vancouver?
Years of West Coast neglect and forced to see our 'National Network' see the nation as a 100 mile by 100 mile area around Toronto.
So screw you TSN 1040 and I would say Screw You TSN 1410 but no one ever listens to that anyways. |

I don't see the current Jays situation as AA's failure's to pick anyone up at the deadline. Those types of moves are never guaranteed - look at Detroit and David Price for example.
The cause of the Jays woes are the lackluster performances by the vets. Casey Janssen can female dog all he wants about the lack of deadline moves but perhaps he should look at his 7.56 era in his last 10 - that's more telling.
If they missed the playoffs by a game or two than perhaps you can look towards the lack of deadline moves as a major issue but lack of performance for the key players who are getting paid to perform is the major issue.

My predictions... Pheonix moves to Las Vegas. Florida moves to Quebec City. Expansion: Toronto & Seattle.

I know a move could have been made. And one Should have been made. Simply to tell the Jays fanbase "Im trying".

IF he can make the illusion that bringing more teams into the league is profitable than he will do it yes. It will be at the cost of the owners/shareholders. So yes to all the above. |

Sure more moves could have been made, but the question is whether it would have benefited the team and if that move would have made the main difference on making the playoffs or not.
That being said, he did make a move - a good one at that by bringing in Valencia. He's played quite well.
They had holes in starting pitching, the bullpen and needed a utility player.
Strolman was brought up and excelled, Sanchez was doing a great job in the bullpen and they traded for Valencia.
If the Jays higher paid players were doing their job, they would not be in the mess they are right now. They're 24th in the league in pitching stats while the bats have gone fairly cold lately. The players should take ownership of this nose dive.
In August, the team has the 27th ranked pitching and 30th ranked offense. A couple of additions doesn't change a thing when the balance of your team is tanking at the exact same time.
The two players who were most vocal about their displeasure at the lack of deadline moves were Jannsen and Bautisita. Jansen's 7.56 era and Bautista hitting .184 in their last 10 games are significantly larger issues.
That and stop (frank)ing playing Francsico.

I cringe when he's on third. Play him at DH or dont play him at all.
Team is really missing Lawrie too. |
