I liked the Anathasiou pick. Mid rounds you're lucky to uncover a quality player but you might as well pick a player with the qualities that could turn him into an NHLer.

With Detroit I believe their player development is the keys to their drafting success.many other teams could draft the same players as them and those players never make the N.H.L |

I agree with this but at the same time a team needs to draft players with a strong work ethic willing to work on improving the flaws in their games to make it as a pro. A good development system is great but it won't do much if the player isn't committed to work hard on improving what he needs to improve to take the next step.
My guess on the top 5 is:
1. Mantha
2. Mrazek
3. Sproul
4. Larkin
5. Bertuzzi, Janmark or Nastasiuk |

I think 5 will be either Nosek or Callahan. Probably Nosek |

Not sure, Nosek is pretty new and mostly unknown on what his potential is and Callahan I really like but his ceiling is likely too low to make the top 5. I think Callahan will end up on waivers and BJ Cleary will make the team so he can play his 10 games and make an easy 1 million bonus for nothing. |

I think there are a lot of areas where hard work and commitment can be encouraged and formed.it is a taught discipline that needs the right motivation.even at that you won't sway them all, but you can increase the odds for sure. |

MANtha wont make it for one reason. hes not strong enough. i dont know how much muscle/core strength hes picked up since he was drafted. But, when they drafted him he looked thin as a rail. |

Makes no difference, even though more of these prospects deserve a shot...Ken Holland in his delusion will continue to prefer his veteran man crushes for no reason. |

He was around 205 at the end of his junior season and report say he has added 15 pounds this summer. He had 2 goals in the prospect tourney game tonight I believe. |
