Too true. I can't think of a single Oiler that I hate, or even dislike, really. For the Oilers to move forward, that has got to change.
- CubanBuffet

Well Perron and Yak can be little Kunts, and we got this agitating scorer named Chase in The system....but yeah, I till they win and win often they will only be mildly irritating.

To be honest a lot of my hate for the Canucks disappeared on Ryan Smyth night in Edmonton. Such a tremendous show of class by the team that I almost forgot about that Piece of sh1t Kassian and his idiotic stick to Gagners face. Now that I think of it, I'm sure that bumhole will reinvigorate my hate at some point before the All-Star game.
- Jeropotato

The stick to the face was brutal, particularly when you guys were depending on Gagner to have a solid season, but it wasn't intentional. Kassian is just really really dumb.

Perron definitely plays that kind of game, but I don't remember him doing anything too chippy against the Canucks. But intentional or not, the fact that Kassian never really had to answer for rearranging Ganger's face spoke volumes.

Not really. The dark years seem pretty bright after last season.

You obviously don't remember the 80's, last year was an 83 point year, the 80's were 50 point years.

Well no, I was still poopting myself for most of the eighties. Last year was so dark because it was still a highly skilled team that played god-awful unskilled painful to watch hockey.

Kassian doesn't have to fight goons, otherwise he would have gone with Gazdic when he came calling....not too many players (Hockey Players, not face punchers) match up with him anyway, so the same can be said about damn near every team that doesn't have a legit Power forward or tough top 4 defender. Put it this way, if Kassian were an Oiler and did that to a Sedin....who would scrap him? No way Kassian has to fight Sessitto or whatever the (frank) his name is.

But that's the beauty of having a guy like Kassian or Lucic in your top 6.Sure there are tough enough 4th liners that can take them, but when the Hell are they on the same ice surface?

That team is much further behind in their rebuild that the Flames fans want to admit. Further ahead than the Oilers were at that point, mind you, but still 3 full seasons of no playoffs to come, IMO.
- Jeropotato

easily 3 yrs still for the flames, I think thats what most flames fans expect.

That's kind of the issue. They clearly want to see Gudreau, Klimchuck, Beartschi, Granlund, Bennett, Monohhan, Arnold, Smith and Poirier on the club at some point, which we be fine in about 5 years...but at some point sooner than that those guys will be better than the current veterans and will probably make the club. No different than the Oilers, too many kids in the line up because they can only hold them back so long.
- Jeropotato

thats why they have backs, and brought in players like raymond and bollig. role players that are stepping into their prime. and keeping vets like stajan and bio around (and maybe glenX). Thats whats going to speed them up faster then the oilers....and how the canucks can turn things around faster once they make a couple more changes to get them on that right track

i love bieksa's play, but he's not that big of an enforcer.

he's a tough player, and can switch the games tempo by stepping up. But he's not going to strike fear in someone

Good point, kinda forget about him. He's a tough wiener. My point is that face punchers are rarely on the ice with the skilled lines, good for you guys for having a goon that can play well enough to earn top 6 assignments .
