While I'm not as extreme as you, Oiler fans have every right to throw their jersey on the ice. No issues with it at all. 8 years no playoffs, if this keeps management in check (even the slightest bit), I'm all for it. I wouldn't do it. Ain't no way I spend 200 dollars on a jersey and throw it on the ice. No issues with those who do.

Maybe once or twice- but every home game or home loss?? they played a good game outside the first 10 mins of the 1st and last 10 mins of the 3rd- They were dominant- fast and made plays- it was Dubnyk's fault plain and simple... wait did I say Dubnyk- I meant Scrivens...
- saskoil21

Nope I'm not saying to actually do it, I'm just saying I have no issue with it when they do it. Screw management, it's almost been a decade.

Oiler fans have never been able to tweet about oiler hockey in the playoffs.... because... twitter wasn't up and running yet.

My problem with it is that last night was not the night to do it. The previous times its happened it was well deserved and fans were sick of long stretches of no effort. Last night was not the time, we came out and played 40 minutes of hockey where we dominated except for a few defensive breaks. 3rd period blew but its still early in the season and these things happen.

Actually, Twitter began on March 21, 2006, so fans technically were able to tweet about the playoffs. the only problem was that no one was using twitter back then.

Ya- the effort was there- first game of the season- it really was not warranted- makes the team look classless

The worst part is having Mess and Gretz in the building to see that. If Mess was near him I think he would have ripped his head off.

What "core" do you speak of?

Hall, Nuge, Yak, Eberle, & Schultz? they played 1 full season and a short season together.

- TheIronSheik

You got to check your numbers and stop making excuses.

Hall, Nuge, and Eberle have all played 4-5 seasons (including this season) together. That includes training camps and off-season workouts.

This is Schultz and Yak's third season together. So how long do you want to give these players to start playing up to their potential?

I completely agree- no respect... Maybe Kevin Lowe deserves this due to his role with todays team but not the players that put Edmonton on the hockey map FFS

OK, so you think it takes more than 110 games to become familiar with the systems.

So what's your excuse for the other three?

Ok if were talking about getting used to the system then its about 83 games that the group has been together trying to get used to the system...

How does the canuck core have anything to do with the Oilers losing year after year after year with such a talented group of players?

My point; when will all this talent translate into success on the ice and in the standings?
