Watched a bit of the Comets game on Saturday, Grenier looked really good. He is the forgotten prospect here and I hope he gets a call up this year. We could really use that size in our top 6. Archibald laid out a guy again, looked like it was a high hit when I saw it live but watching the replay it doesn't look quite as bad.
Highlight package for those interested.

I attended both games against the Marlies and I'd say Grenier was the most offensively dangerous Comet, especially in game one.
I was a little disappointed with Shinkaruk. You can tell he has skill but his stats & shot totals don't tell the whole story.
He was invisible without the puck and was rather ineffective with it. He made a few nice plays defensively but for the most part his passes were turned over and his low percentage perimiter shots were far from dangerous. I was excited to see him gain the zone with possession and he appeared to have an extra gear to speed around the outside of the D to drive the net. However that extra gear was only visible in the offensive zone and defensively it looked like he was coasting a bit. I'm curious if his conditioning has suffered with the time off from injury.
Although Jensen's stats were not great, he was HIGHLY visible with and without the puck. Contrary to Shinkaruk, he demonstrated a good speedy two way game. I thought the best part of his game was his back/forechecking and he was rather sound defensively despite being -2. His offensive game lacked confidence and finish but his back-check was tenacious. I really liked that Jensen kept his shifts really short (always first off the ice) and maintained a high compete level throughout the game. If the Canucks had to call up a winger, at this point it's Jensen >>> Shinkaruk IMO.
Gaunce's positioning and his hockey IQ is highly impressive. Although he didn't look comfortable on the wing, but he was in the right place and was great at defending without the puck. Gaunce showed limited offensive ability but his positioning placed him near pucks to compensate for the lack of speed.
Corrado showed some skating and passing skill but had the toughest assignments. At times also looked like he was in way over his head and got burned defensively a few times. His decisions were questionable when under pressure or tired. To be fair, Corrado's conditioning might be a little off due to the recent injury in pre-season. He seemed gassed at times, specifically on the play that let the Marlies tie the game on Sunday. Comets were pinned in their own zone and Corrado's attempted back-hand into the neutral zone was caught and kept it in while the rest of the Comets went for the change. Tommernes & Huskins came on the ice to cover the D while Corrado didn't know what assignment to take thus resulting in the tying goal. Comets ended up losing in OT.
At this point, trading any of Hansen/Burrows/Higgins/Matthias to get these kids in the line-up would be the most effective way to draft McDavid.
