You said it. All this adoration for this kid, him at the Sabres podium with the emblem, just think of the renewed rivalry with Carolina-when the get him and we get Eichel. These Buffalo fans look like teeny-bop boy band fans, it's plain old gross. I hope we get him, but as I said on the BN comments, if Carolina trades Eric Staal, put your MCDavid daydreams and posters to rest.

I see it as the complete opposite. Not getting McDavid will be crushing. He is scoring at a pace better than what crosby did in his final year of juniors.

McDavid has been the guy from day one. Its the sports reporters who want to make a race out of it. Eichel will never go #1

Not even close. CArolina will get pieces back to help them if they trade staal. Buffalo still finishes at least top 2 and still has a shot. They are the worst team in the league by far
