and that doesnt bother me one bit. to each their own. i may get crucified for this, but im not big on having to like a team (or dislike a team for that matter) simply because youre from somewhere.

granted, you traditionally like what you are exposed to, and what you are exposed to is typically your local team, and i get that. The phillies were the first sports team i was ever introduced to, and you just grow to latch onto it.

if you have youre reasons for liking dallas, more power to you. I'm not even a huge eagles fan, and i still cant stand dallas. but thats because everything about them oozes a lot of things i dont like. i dont really have any ill will against the giants, even though everyone loathes them.

I can't hate on Umberger because he played well (translated: noticeable and productive) last night. But I still don't like the trade.

Pittsburgh native Umberger has 24 career points against the Penguins; tied for his most against any team (he's also done it against the Islanders in four fewer games). He's scored his most goals against the Islanders -- 14 -- and second most against Detroit (12 goals).

Flyers play the Red Wings next, so hopefully Umberger follows up what he did last night with another productive game against a team he's historically done well against.
