Crazy how the Flyers have so much success at the Consol Energy Center. I'm sure that will average out. Their winning percentage there is unsustainable to the MAX.
Good win though. |

Was a good effort. Take away the first five minutes or so, and they played a really strong game. As far as the confidence building, check back in around 9:45 Saturday evening. |

VERY satisfying win, especially when the game started out as a continuation of the Chicago fiasco of the night before. Even Crosby, who started out like a maniac, was a non-factor over the final 50 minutes.
Okay, gotta get back to work ... funny how a Flyers win makes the day go a bit faster.

It's like how Kari Lehtonen just can't beat the Flyers... odd stuff. |

I think it's more about the effort than the result. If they play like they did for most of last night and still lose, it will be because the other team beat them. I hate seeing games where they beat themselves.

If only Manute Bol were still alive. He could have been brought in to give pre-game speeches on hunger! |

I bet if they changed the name to just "The Consol Center" the Flyers would lose every time. Can't win without Energy. |

Like Bill said, a team is never as good as its best and never as bad as its worst. The Flyers were at their best, for the most part, last night and at their worst for most of the other games. They'll find that happy(sad) medium soon enough. |

Can a team ever be as happy as it is when it's mediumly happy? |

How does that work, anyway?
When two teams are both hungry, or when neither team is hungry, is it like "Timecop," when Jean-Claude Van Damme killed Ron Silver by making the same objects occupy the same spot at the same time? Are we risking certain death if both teams' hunger is perfectly balanced at any point?

I don't know but the shampoo I use is happy medium so there's that. If only hockey was as simple as shampoo. |

It really comes down to who's eaten more recently, more or less. It's a simple hunger equation, really. You take the team's hunger coefficient, raise it to the calorie intake, and divide by the amount of seconds since eating. |
