He's been ok. But I won't cry if others get a shot next to G or if he gets traded. - FlyersGrace
Overall he's been just okay. But he's played much better the last 3 games. As always, I'm okay with any trade that makes the Flyers better. |

Interesting. I still don't feel like the Flyers would have won a cup had they not traded Forsberg. - PhillySportsGuy
I agree. They wouldn't have had Roy as a goalie. And they still would have had a superstar who missed 25% of his career to injury. |

Yeah. Now had the Flyers been willing to part with Recchi instead of Foppa to get Lindros, we might have a different story. |

So, Couturier has 5 points in 7 games. All at even strength. As an interesting tidbit, he's never scored a PPG in 212 games played. In fact, he has 7 points shorthanded and 8 points on the PP. Kind of an indictment on how the team has used him throughout his brief career. |

Simmonds has 5 goals, is +4 and is shooting 20%. All lead the team. (Career 12.7% shooter).
Luke Schenn is a -8, the worst on the team, despite playing the fewest minutes of any defenseman (Even Schultz). His Partner MDZ is -5 and has played 18:30 per game.
Mark Streit is averging a point per game (7 pts in 7 gms). He also leads the team in ice time at 23:40 per game. MacDonald is second with 22:56.

Is it normal for players in their prime years to progressively get worse by the game? |

He was rushed and ruint. Would have been Darien Hatcher. Not enough AHL pixie dust. |

Only one player in the NHL currently has a worse +/- than L. Schenn. If anyone wants a good laugh, look it up. |

I think people see what they wanna see when it comes to Schenn. Both players on the third pair have areas to their game they need to clean up. |

Being from the southern Ontario area where the Leafs are jammed down our throats, fan or not. I was always against JvR for Schenn. I've seen a lot of both of them since they've began their careers, as most of us have. I'm not blind to Luke Schenn's faults. He's a poor skater, he's poor with the puck but he has a lot of strengths too. I don't think he's nearly as bad as many make him out to be. Guys like Grossmann and Schenn you've gotta accept them for what they are. Their shortcomings would be a lot less noticeable if we had an anchor on the blue line, which we do not. |

I love saying "spot on." I have no idea what it means so I probably misuse it regularly. |
