of course he did. what's that, 5 games with his new team after 7 years with the flyers. he'll probably go the next 15 games without a point.

I agree but my point is Grossmann is at least seeing consistent time with better players. To me the only difference between Streit and Del Zotto is effort level and willingness to get one's nose dirty. Even Coburn couldn't carry Bruno Gervais. If Schenn saw more time with Timonen or MacDonald, Ithink we'd see improvement. I though Luke Schenn was one of our better defenseman in the playoffs.

Grossmann is seeing consistent time with better partners because he's been a better player than Luke for the most part. That said, I thought Schenn played his best hockey as a Flyer when he was paired with Timonen in the lockout season and MacDonald after the trade deadline last year.

i just don't feel any sympathy if chara is injured

let them lose their next best two d men as well and let's see how they do

Might have to visit their thread to read how after all this time, how good they felt their defense was. Now that Chara is out, we'll read how much their defense now sucks. Find out who will be the scapegoat.

Losing Chara leaves Boston is the same sitiation as Philly on the backend. They arent as deep as everyone thinks without Chara

I agree. And I said that back before the season starts. Take Chara away and we'll see how good guys like Seindenberg really are. But they do have an advantage in that Boston plays a pretty sound team game.
