I could probably do it with a few rolls of duct tape and some large plastic tarps. I have created 4-foot, fully-enclosed lakes in my parents' front yard for our annual drunken yard golf event (15 years and going strong). - jmatchett383
thats awesome! can you make me a trout stream for my backyard? |

Pierre was so excited to speak French to Bellemare after the game last night. And everyone was so impressed by it for reals |

I'm surprised nothing more was said about it. He's only been held sscoreless by the flyers 3 or 4 times in his career. |

Most notably, the Flyers held Sidney Crosby off the scoreboard for only the 12th time in 49 career regular season games. - bmeltzer |

I think it's more about the effort than the result. If they play like they did for most of last night and still lose, it will be because the other team beat them. I hate seeing games where they beat themselves. - tangent_man
Exactly. If they go into Chicago and play their asses off, and simply get beat by a better team. Then I can live with that. But I can't deal with the effort they gave in that game, or the effort's like the 3rd period in the Montreal game. |

I regularly post on both boards. Also, I am most likely the most sarcastic poster on this board.

haha im honored.
but seriously isnt it appalling?
all the lateral quickness in the world, but the dude literally could probably up his save percentage if he was forced to play without a stick. - stayinthefnnet
It's weird because it's definately not his skating. It's all about the stickwork. |

Time to go back to Allentown, Chris. We need a 4th line center who can win draws and be solid defensively. - Feanor
Need to get Lecavalier back and put Bellmare back in the 4th line center spot. |

Lol, Arty played a good game, when he wasn't stapled to the bench. - Tomahawk
I don't see him at fault for anything specifically, but he didn't do a lot out there. Even had a couple of shifts with the top line. |

I thought MDZ looked good. I just wish they'd get him away from Schenn. MDZ makes some mistakes and Schenn isn't ever able to pick him up. I wouldn't mind seeing MDZ with Coburn when he comes back. - PhillySportsGuy

Really??? no interest in seeing how he looks on 1st line in Raffl's spot? From what I have seen he is a better natural finsiher and may be deadly on that line. |

It's not that simple. Your course must be laid out according to the DGA standards. Also, these water bodies are only temporary. Not that say that we haven't had fish swim (and die) in our lakes before. |

Thanks Bill. I don't know why the Flyers continue to be high on VandeVelde. All he does is skate, and dig in the corners. I guess management is still fascinated with the size of players, rather than those possessing an all around game. The Flyers were lucky last night, that the Pens weren't able to sustain their first 10 minutes worth of pressure. As usual, the Flyers just aren't able or willing to put forth a complete game. In addition, I wish folks would lay off of Mason. When you face 40 shots or more each loss, it's hard to criticize him in my book. In addition, when your forwards are not coming back to assist the D, then it's hard to keep up with all the players buzzing around the net, and paint. Too many times, have I seen the forwards just watching the puck, and waiting for the puck to come to them. I don't know if they are just lazy, or that is the way that they operate. I would expect that from the Oilers, but the Flyers? Sorry, Oiler fans. Blaming their poor D play on the lack of Coby, and Kimmo is a poor excuse for the other players. Guys need to step up, and take some D zone responsibilities. Finally, why do we enter the O zone, and not establish some pressure? Our forwards seem to play "one, and done." or go slowly go for a line change. Certainly more O zone play would knock down some of the shots against them.
Anyway, I hope that VandeVelde is gone soon, and that Jones can have more playing time. Rinaldo is another player that I would seriously look at as well. I know that the team would lack some grit, but would bringing up Straka help out with our speed a little bit, and add some scoring?
Thanks for listening. - OrangeAndBlack1
Lots of negativity here when the Flyers just played a quality game and their best game of the season. And no reason to look at removing Rinaldo. He's been playing really well. |

yeah thats it for sure. as athletic as he is, he could probably skate better than some defenders. its gotta be mostly mental. he just gets it and spasms.
which is weird because he is the best in the league at pokechecks on shootouts. but mid game if he has thepuck on his stick and a person within 5 yards of him, hed be better off with his eyes closed. |
