Thoughts on Jason Spezza so far this season Stars fans ??

He has good points per game numbers as per usual with 2 goals, 9 assists for 11 points in 8 games. But he is a +/- -5 witch is a team low tied with his buddy Ales Hemsky. Speaking of Hemsky, he's not looking so great this season with only 1 assist in 8 games.

Spezza has been fine. He's been most productive when Ruff loads up the top line and puts him with Seguin and Benn rather than centering the second line (but that's hardly surprising). The minus-five is primarily because he was minus-four last night (so was Benn, while Seguin was minus-three).

Hemsky has reportedly been bothered by a nagging injury, according to what Ruff told reporters about a week ago. He's been playing through it. No, he hasn't been too productive since the regular season started but the Stars are scoring so many goals right now, it really hasn't hurt. At some point, they'll need him to step up.
