We need to have a 5-1 win tonight and go 8-2 in the next ten. Then I will get excited |

We'll lose 3-1 tonight and go 1-9 in the next 10 after.
Then I'll get excited. |

As always, good read Carol.
Nux should have this. The canes should either be deperate or losing for Mcdavid.
On another note Seguin over Phil.
Go Nux |

Am I crazy or does anyone think a deal for Brayden schenn might be a good tinker move for top 9 depth. Sbisa and guance or maybe Corrado and Hansen not sure his worth |

Daniel will never score another hat-trick in the NHL. |

Also to pummel the Oilers more how the f did they not take Seguin. Nothing against hall he is an absolute stud but centers are worth so much more I remember at the time thinking oops. Mind you that's what I think of the entire franchise oops |

There was really no wrong pick there, both are elite players. |

They'd want Bieksa or Hamhuis as part of any deal for him. |

I would imagine the plan with Horvat is to draw things out as long as possible; he will likely be in Utica for the next 3 games and then brought up here and used every other game until it comes time to decide whether or not to loan him to the Canadian Junior Team. If he excels there, he's with the Canucks for the rest of the year |

Canucks future lineup from what I see(probably next year or 2)
Offence:
Sedin-Sedin-Vrabata
Higgins-Bonino-Borrows
Shinkaruk-Horvat-Jensen
Dorsett/Kassian-Vey-Gaunce/McCann
Defence:
Hamhuis-Bieksa
Tanev-Stanton
Corrado-Subban
Goaltenders:
Miller
Lack/Markstrom
Trade Edler, Matthias, RIchardson, Hansen, Sbisa, for first round pick, and trade Weber for the better Weber (Shea Weber) haha jk I doubt that would happen |

Just came across this. That 70's line is off to a flier this season:
When Mark Letestu scored at 19:04 of the second period Sunday, it was the first time this season any member of That 70s Line (Jeff Carter, Tanner Pearson, Tyler Toffoli) was on the ice for a goal against (eight games). Carter’s total is 17 for, one against. Toffoli is 16-1. Pearson is the real slacker of this group at 14-1. |

Ducks should trade Pearson before his value drops. I suggest a former first round pick with a knack for game winning goals. Sbisa. |

I would be okay with moving Bieksa if Schenn was part of the package coming back, not sure that Schenn is really available or that Bieksa would waive.
I like Juice but think his contributions are overrated league wide (for once) and would be able to garner a decent return.

We should offer up Gaunce to LA. He was picked about 4 places ahead of Pearson after all. |

I doubt they use him every other game, not a whole lot of point. They will know if he is ready to stick after 15 or so pro games. Sitting him in the press box makes absolutely no sense.
If he is ready after that he stays otherwise back to Juniors and Team Canada. I doubt Horvat or the Canucks are that worried about the junior team, its a consolation prize at this point. |

If it were Gillis we'd wait until Bieksa's value has dropped beyond all doubt before asking for return as if he were in his prime. Not sure what Trader Jim's philosophy is. |

I heard that if a player doesn't play more then 40 games in his first year you don't lose a year of control before UFA status. If the canucks play him i hope they keep him under 40. Keep him in the A as long as possible and send him to WJC if possible. |

Why is Skinner not playing on the first line? Balance their offense? |
