Hall's injury just saved Eakins his job.

Oilers will sucks a$$ as per usual: the excuse will be Hall's injury and not the reality that Eakins is not an NHL coach and the worst one in the league.

The thing that sucks the most about Eakins is that MSM is not allowed by the Oilers to write anything bad about him-so they will probably run a few articles on Yak during this upcoming losing streak in the upcoming weeks.

and as per usual most fans will look for the easy answers and try and blame it on one person and one problem which is the same thing they've done for the last 5 years.
but then they'll get their change and once again, we'll be losing and near the bottom.
and within months the cycle will start all over and you'll be calling for his head and say he's the problem.

you probably think last nights loss was some sort of coaching strategy mistake. and don't kid yourself into thinking that this is some sort of revelation you've come up with and are on an island. there's sh1tloads of pundits who don't actually watch the oilers who feel the same way as you. not to mention the casual oiler fan that doesn't really understand what theyre seeing. all of those people are convinced its a singular problem a well.

If that's what u need to believe to make ur tired and illogical contentions about it being all the coach's fault seem more reasonable, then I support your continuing use of easy answers I suppose

"lets hire nelson or messier!!"

logic, rationality and common sense aren't the strong suit of many of the posters on this site

tired? i think you are the one who needs to give it a rest.

illogical contentions? i highly doubt you know the real definition of both words judging by the illustrated use in your comment. once you do figure out the definition, please use it accordingly in the judgement of your initial reply to my comment.

i was not offering answers, i made my opinion in form of a joke. what exactly did your opinion/comment offer?

this was an incredibly weak attempt at a deflection.

our problems are much, much deeper than just coaching.

In hindsight, and it was what I wanted at the time, but not to say he would have necessarily done a better job.

I would have preferred that they had promoted Nelson. The idea was that both teams in the Oilers organization should be running similar systems to help acclimate players from the AHL to the NHL. He was using a successful ssytem in OKC and he was familiar with all the players in the farm team, including Hall, Ebs Nuge and Schultz.

I thought this for a second as well. But boswhatever can actually spell at a grade 4 level. As well as construct a grammatically correct and discernible sentence.

I think his post was the same, tired, easy reasons for failure that have been proven to be false repeatedly every time we switch coaches but still experience the same results. But nonetheless, he's on another level than alexwhatever is.

Even if I didn't believe that alex had zero idea of what he's talking about in terms of hockey; (which hes proven beyond a shadow of a doubt on multiple occasion) his level of comprehension and writing skills are barely at an adult level. If at all. He says he 'doesn't care', but these are basic communication skills that get taught at an early age. This is not an intelligent person. His thoughts are irrelevant.

He mixes up words and grammar. Classic ESL.

Now his poorly formed manners and thought process...that is a separate set of issues.

If Alex is the kind of person you guys say he is; why bother with him?

What kind of person makes fun of someone with mental deficiencies?

Every one holds views according to his interest, and imagines he has abundant grounds for them.
For with most men judgment has to give way to inclination. It may occur that two may meet with exactly opposite views and yet each thinks to have reason on his side, yet reason is always true to itself and never has two faces.
In such a difficulty a prudent man will go to work with care, for his decision of his opponent's view may cast doubt on his own.
Place yourself in such a case in the other man's place and then investigate the reasons for his opinion. You will not then condemn him or justify yourself in such a confusing way.

Did I say Alex has deficiencies mentally?

You infer too much.

Oh and your little speech, I just saw you get into it with a longtime poster. Seems that you could not dare see eye to eye with someone that held an opposing view.

Hypocrite much?

The racial slurs after subban dominated them last year were super classy.
All with Jarome iginla on their squad.
