Jensen starting to put up a few points in the "A", which is good! Ed Willes commenting on how Cody Hodgsons act is wearing thin in Buffalo, he said out of all of Mike Gillis's (frank) ups, he got that one right.

Trying not to care too much about this sort of stuff. The logic is so convoluted, almost as bad as real laws and sentencing.

Just looking forward to seeing Bo have his games before being sent back to junior.

Really? He leaves his feet, leads wit an elbow, principle point of contact was the head and to boot he is a repeat offender and get only 3 games? I would love to see the explanation video.

Probably because Kassian wasn't injured, and there was a penalty called on the play and it didn't help Edmonton win the game. It was what I expected.

Explanation is that is exactly what you just said minus the elbow (it was shoulder), repeat offender 2 suspensions and one fine with the last being a headshot 18 months ago. It is strange that they go out of their way to mention he has only had 3 incidents in a 15 year career.

My guess is that they felt Burrows lateness and coming from the side makes it more predatory.
Whatever, on to the Ribeiro hit I guess, does he get any?

I guess Shanny's wheel of justice is still intact.

Probably only 3 games because Pronger argued it was a clean hit

I can see why Pronger would say that.

It's a curious system, to be sure. I imagine Stevens will make a lot more sense if they add him to the department. I'm telling you, it's not going to be long before Claude Lemieux is recruited.

I thought Weber had a pretty good game last night. He was physical and made some good passes. Sbisa looked pretty awful, but he wasn't alone. The best forwards were Richardson, Matthias and Dorsett. You know that it's likely a loss when that happens. The Preds frustrated our offence last night like we did to the Oilers in the 3rd the other night. It was grim to watch.

Is it any use appealing these suspensions? Could an appeal hearing be set before the 3 games were over?

Thought Burrows should have got 2 games max.

Not sure about Burrows' fines, guessing not head hit related yet Ference had a previous issue with a head hit. It may have not been as bad as Burrows' hit, but I am not sure how they look at previous history. A messed up system.

All appeals run through Bettman, no chance he overrules the Player Safety Department.

Matt Cooke will probably get a call in a few days. Obviously he won't have to stop playing because that would be silly. He can just text Pronger his rulings from the locker room

At least he didn't get less than Burr. That would have been completely ridiculous

So did I hear correctly that Stanton was ready to play but WD decided not to shakeup the d pairings? I guess if you win, you can't complain and if you lose... there is second guessing of the lineup on the second night of b2b games.

Neal made Edler look like Murzyn. There has to be a little contact. Tanev played Hall perfectly the other night, too bad Hall got hurt, but you can't let him drive straight to the net.

I really don't like seeing Weber and Sbisa together, when they see the other messing up, they usually join in and make it worse as opposed to bailing out the other.

It is a good practice from the players perspective, to get all the factors out there and see everything that was involved in the decision making.

So many of these sort of suspensions are influenced by media, current public opinion and trends.

Sometimes they screw up one suspension and try to make up for it with the next suspension.

That trade was overhyped by both sides IMO.

Jensen's still only scoring at a .5PPG rate in the AHL though. Glad to hear that he's trying to work on his defensive and physical game a bit though.

Sanguinetti apparently has been great for Utica, he was my sleeper to make a push for the #7 job in Vancouver. Had great numbers on a mediocre Carolina team.

Despite a bounceback season so far for Edler, he's still shaky defensively. Especially on plays like that where he has to turn his hips to cut-off a player.

Sounds like Bieksa is making the road trip, so hopefully it's not as bad as first thought...
