Just to add my own $.02, I rarely ever draft players that I don't like (unless of course money is involved). I think it's that whole aspect of assembling a team where there is continuity from year to year (it's always that much more enjoyable, allowing you to continually contend year to year but also build/rebuild etc through trades/drafts/wire)

As an example of this phenomenon is as follows: for years I had opportunities to draft Brett Hull in various pools (even if there was no one near his level remaining to be drafted). However I went to school with that fat fuk stoner asswank so there is a bit of history there lol (oh, incidentally, I did play hockey against him a few times and he was so ridiculously out of shape it was comical - yet he always did have a wicked shot even back then)
