Hockey blogs are entertainment. Kind of like a virtual bar. And since most guys here don't know each other (I assume anyway), nobody is going to value a fellow blogger more than a good source behind the scenes. So it makes sense that nobody would ever name a source. A good blog is way more likely to cough up an accurate story behind the scenes than a newspaper or the team itself. - 6628
Meh, like i said earlier, dont need NAMES persay. Just a general idea of who the guy/girl is, and how they heard it. Even if its like, "this guy whos a janitor was walking down the hall and overheard some things". I'd be satisfied with that.
I just get bored/annoyed with the whole secrecy super agent stuff. "Not at liberty to discuss", and poop like that. Yes it's cool that you know something we dont, but dont be ridiculous about it. If you told us some general info about a person, nobody would know who that person was.
I dont know how to explain what I'm trying to say. I dont think its too much to ask for a little clarification, and as stated in the code of conduct...theres supposed to be proof. Dont like to pull that card and be a dork, but since its been so crazy here lately, why the (frank) not right? |

Not a big deal for me either, but if a finger has to be pointed blame the teams. If they were upstanding and transparent there would be no rumor bloggers. I would rather read a blog full of posters I disagree with than a sports section article, especially since Sassone passed. |

Regin probably should have made the team out of camp. Except that Carcillo popped up unexpectedly and with Rosy staying and Leddy going tey needed to carry 7 Dmen.
And oh I forgot, that superstar Brad Richards was guaranteed a spot no matter how poorly he plays. - RickJ
Could be worse Rick , imagine the Hawks paying him 5 mil per... |

Count me among the Regin fans. Plays a solid game. One thing to note Richards two best games have come against Eastern teams...hmm....Still remember Regin's play that allowed for Kaner's OT winner against Minny last year. |

Did you guys see this?
New Jersey's Adam Henrique is out tonight with a lower-body injury. Devils coach Pete DeBoer said Henrique was injured jumping over the boards in Tuesday's game against the Blues.
Wait...what? |

Well that's not as bad as Lamar Houston of the Bears tearing his ACL doing a sack dance in a game the Bears were trailing by 30 points.

At least a fair and open balanced forum for discussion. It's a work on progress.
Carry on. |

Yeah Jam I saw this made me want to puke! I still remember when the boards in the NHL were completely white no ads. Ah those were the days...Peter Puck and all. - DK002
How can we protest this? Who can we reach out to? This would be the start to the death of the NHL. |

They almost had an epic Winter Classic Jersey, and they wussed out on the logo. Losers. - Ogilthorpe2
I think we talked last year that a great choice would have been to go with jersey from the '61 Cup team. They almost got it right.
I don't buy the Hawks being in jeopardy of a name change because there isn't a racial overtone attached to their name. But that won't stop people from raising the issue at times because of the logo.
I would bet at least half the hockey world doesn't know where the name Blackhawks really came from.

Still (at the risk of pissing off people here who would rather not know things - not referring to you, Al):
Ultimately - after passing thru a WWI army division that the Manor House coffee king was a part of - it goes back to a Sauk Indian chief. |

Indeed, the Black Hawk State Historic Site overlooks what was the old Sauk Village on the Rock River in Rock Island, Illinois. Black Hawk actually wrote a book back in the early 1800's, not bad reading to see how poorly native americans were treated as the US expanded westward. |
