Is Brad Richards not considered a legitimate center?

Love the kid, but Kane needs to get going.

He hasn't really had those flashes of dominance he showed last postseason at all this year. A lot of circling to the top of the zone and dumping deep, or stick handling on the half wall

His impending 10.5 mil cap hit demands he start being better

Always thought Shaw must be illegitimate, now it's confirmed. He also plays a bastardized style of hockey, the whack and hack.
Some guys I hate, but would want them on my team. Shaw is not that, he's more a Ryan Kesler type, more cheap shots than actual tough play.

I think you move those centers around ,get Shaw back with Bickel .Richards on the 2nd line (were he should of been all year) And Kruger on the 3rd line . ALSO show Rumsbland some love on the PP Crow will play big tonight and the boy's will light it up ..GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!1

>A very fair and balanced overview, JJ
>If the Hawks are a high-speed, high-tempo team -- the D needs to stop slowing the game down and forwards need to stop passing the puck backwards from near their blueline in their own zone to deep in their own zone to a covered D-man
>Puck management MUST improve for the Hawks overall game to get better
>Perhaps much shorter shifts for both forwards and D will get everyone's feet moving -- usually does

I think the last few years have proven that teams with good possession numbers (Corsi close, in particular) usually come out of losing streaks and have very strong seasons, i.e. the Kings and Blackhawks the last few years.

Conversely, teams with horrific possession numbers who "just win" for a period of time - think the Toronto and Colorado - usually crater when their save percentage/shooting percentage regress to the mean of their players' career #'s.

In other words - not worried.

Hawks will be fine come May.

Just want you to finish so you dont play the blues in the first round. I dont want a repeat of last year.

I would love the Hawks and blues to be on opposite isdes of the draw and a potential WCF matchup.

lol, this has been the Hawks strategy for the last several years going back to 2010-2011. Puck control and get lots of shots on net and hopefully spring a good counter attack. But it is defense first with Coach Q. Also don't worry about finishing checks, get back on defense. The Hawks never really press unless they get down.

The bright spot - it limits injuries. The problem, other teams have added depth, size and speed. The Hawks got Richards, classic.

it is so funny when people say, the Hawks ran into a hot goalie. Classic. But look at that shots the Hawks take and\or actual scoring chances; very limited . The Hawks only have a few pure shooters, and that is basically Sharp.

Also Kane - what happen. i know, i saw his girl at the game. Wow. Quite the hotty.
And Toews is busy selling his condo.

Yes, I'm sure Toews is actively involved with selling his condo to the point that it is affecting his game. Jesus Christ.

Maybe you wouldn't want him, but I am sure your GM would jump at the opportunity if he was made available.

Contrary to some of the negative reaction about the new lines, I kinda like them.
-there is a nice balance among all 4
-some players are paired with others that may get their game going (eg Kane)

they will last about 5-6 shifts into the game as they always do...

the issue again..one points jj made is this team again has mismatch in parts...most likely this has no effect on the long term as it has been a problem for 3-4 yrs now...

hwks never win up in Hab land...usually play ok...but the usual bad things happen: late goals or lose in OT

tough team and place to try to right the ship
