If Yakupov needs to play with our best players to produce I would argue that he himself is not a good player. Would you rather not have Yakupov on a soft comp line playing against 3rd pairing D instead of going up against the Shea Webers of the world?

no not at all, not if he's going to be playing with Gazdic, Hendricks, Pouliot. He's a young player, with a ridiculous one timer, he needs to play with people who are skilled enough to set him up for it.

Really? Not a good player because he isn't making Hendricks and Pouliot produce more when he still hasn't played 2 seasons worth of games? How does that even make sense at all?

We drafted him for his dynamic offensive ability, we're trying to make him into a player he's not and in doing so, ruining his offensive accumen. When you draft a player first overall, you develop him into the player you believe you drafted and you surround him with supporting players to help pick up the slack from where he's lacking. You give him every chance you possibly can to do what you drafted him to do.

Also, he has been leaps and bounds better in his own zone this year, and how has he been rewarded for his play? Oh he hasn't? Didn't think so.

but Pouliot has been rewarded, Arcobello defintely deserves the ice time he's been getting over Yakupov right?

Lots of this... I agree- 3rd line duty when Hall is out is a recipe for disaster... and please people dont come back with he played 2 periods at the top line and didnt score.... FFS it takes time to learn team mates- and how many lines has Yak be switched to already- he was what 3 pts in 4 games to start the season- ah (frank) it... I am not even going there anymore- I will await til he is either traded or we get a coach that can better utilize all assets efficiently on this team for their strengths...
