Us = Avs

You have shultz already you dont need a Leddy to hate when he coughs up the puck on a weak clear out attempt

This right here is concrete evidence that Eakins has to go. This is absolutely absurd...

Strome has done everything the coaching staff asked of him and almost every single night has been great on both sides of the puck. He's rewarded with being forced to center to d!ckwads that can barely play hockey. That's where the similarity is.
- eichiefs9

Oh, so you're saying Strome = Yakupov then!

Sure I have no problem with the player, but his contract stinks considering his age and production. Having said that if he were a secondary piece in a bigger trade I might take a gamble. Arizona is a terrible team tho but kind of the Anti-Oilers ( and I highly doubt they would move any of their 5 or 6 best pieces ) but I would love to snag 3 of their players right about now.
How about :
Eberle
Schultz
Ferrence
2nd round pick
Forward Prospect

For
Yandle
Hanzal
Doan
????????
Seems like a dream world to me but I would do it if it were there.

If you are going for one of their top D I would think Nurse would have to be in the picture. Maybe Petry if he is not looking to resign.

Krueger sucks, we should have never fired Tom Renney. There is a reason Detroit was super happy to sign him shortly after we fired him.

Krueger didn't had the Chance to show if He could improve the team,MacT improved the team for Eakins and where's the improvement with Eakins?

Oilers need an experienced coach IMO, don't think Messier will be the answer other than a short-term kick in the ass every team has when a new coach takes over.

There it is, we will just keep firing coaches and ride the temporary boost that each new coach brings. Brilliant, how have we never thought of this before?

The team showed improvement under Krueger. There's a reason Babcock immediately consulted with him when putting together his strategy for the Olympic team. He had Krueger come in and "teach" the coaching staff about defense, specifically defending the large ice surface.

Or when he gets muscled off the puck by Nathan Gerbe/anyotherreallysmallhockeyplayer, let alone what he might do when "big guy" comes at him. He also needs a helmet that fits him better. Plenty of times where he would adjust his helmet mid play while the opposing team was attacking.

That guy was frustrating to watch.

Krueger was not given a fair shake but Renney was the best coach we've had since MacT.

They do,Balysma is the only one available maybe a combination of Balysma/Nelson/Messier could work, but I would not be suprise if MacT fired Eakins and hires Messier, which it will be a mistake again but I would prefer right now Messier over Eakins.

Agreed and then fans find out its not the coach its the players when the same thing keeps happening.
- jake24242

It wasn't the coaching in the past but the defence and goaltending however, it is now definitely the head coach.
You only have to look at how quickl;y and by whom the previous coaches were hired to see the Oilers shouldn't have changed coaches but GM's.
Look at Kruegers record in a 48 game season against only the much stronger Western Conference.
Players won't play for a coach they don't like in this day and age and they don't like Eakins so time for him to go.

That's the reality now a days, but another reality is that MacT have improve the Oil team adding more pieces and the results with Eakins is mostly negative.
