Tim Chiasson: Flat-Fin'd Sharks Sharks come out slow against Chicago and suffer a disappointing 5-2 loss marred with questionable coaching decisions.

Just a fine for the punch on Braun, that's fair, though nonsense like that also goes uncalled quite often, reputation call.

Still no word yet on Stalock's Academy Award but he has to be in the running, one of the best performances of this short season.

Tim what are your thoughts on Matt Nieto being on the top line?

I like Nieto, but I think he's better off with Marleau and Couture because of his speed. Thornton likes to slow the game down to his speed so I think it hurts Nieto's prodctivity. For whatever reason it seems Hertl is in the doghouse but I'd rather see him back with Thornton, Nieto on the Couture line and Wingels return to the 3rd. Wingels has had a great start but realistically he's not going to keep pace with 39/12 over the course of a full season and Hertl will never break free offensively playing with Sheppard and Kennedy.

Bottom line is, the guy's hand hit Stalock's neck/face....deliberately, when he could have avoided him altogether.

Flop or no, Roussel has whatever's coming to him.... maybe he'd dig a dance with John Scott instead of a fine....? At the very least, they have his # down when they play again.

I'm sure if he had a Billion dollars, he could sway the academy.

I agree, and that's why I don't have any problem with a fine.

Roussel will generally dance with most, still he's an agitator, he'll score some goals but the days of a Dallas enforcer, like Hatcher seem to be gone.

Maybe he can borrow from the bank of Belfour.

Sadly, I doubt Roussel would actually fight John Scott and dressing him will take away from a functional hockey player hitting the ice.

My bet is that Andrew Desjardins will be the one to seek justice.

Derian Hatcher...now there's a guy I used to love to hate...but always wanted him patrolling the Sharks' blue line.

I wish more players would make that hit like roussell did. Turco deserved it More than Anyone so it's funny a Dallas star did it. They're goalies not defence men, stay in the net.

You should be able to see your fill of garbage hits like that with Burrows on the roster...

I'm going guess you enjoyed watching Milan Lucic running over Ryan Miller?

While I would like to see goalies get laid out, as funny as it would be the following poop storms would not be worth it.

I guess you didn't see the play. Stalock made a save in the crease then skated away from the traffic in front of the net with the puck in his glove. That's not a situation where a goaltender should get run. If a goalie is going back behind the net for a 50/50 puck and takes a bump, I'm all for it. but not in this situation
