Yeah, like I said, it's crazy talk, but with MacKinnon, Landeskog and ROR as some other talented youth, just wondered what craziness it might take to pry Duchene away. - stashu
Due to his importance to the team, age, contract, etc....has to be the realm of what would it take to get Weber out of Nashville |

May have said something on the ice, or was chirping the rest of the game. Then again maybe it is getting blow out of proportion by Ted. Who knows what happens on the ice? Lot of Smack gets talked every game. - ImThatGuy
Bingo, Steen declined an invitation by a few Sabres players to re-engage after the Ennis incident, and Steen did, in fact, call Zadarov something the young Russian took offense to. Weber offered 2 times that I'm aware of verbally to engage, Steen, like a coward, wouldn't back up his words. |

I can't stand all the flak the Sabres are taking for "tanking". They were a non-playoff team going nowhere fast with guys on expiring contracts who weren't going to re-sign in Buffalo and who other teams were willing to pay well over fair value to acquire. Is there any team that wouldn't have done the exact same thing in that situation? If 2015 didn't have the potential to be one of the deepest drafts in decades this would be a complete non-issue. - daaaahawks
Like was said above, it's a sort of "fear" that Buffalo will be good and won't be the "armpit" team people can poop on all the time if they were to land McDavid. Media folks need to stir the pot, so the Sabres are the target for hits. Yay |

We are getting all sorts of crap for tanking on purpose but we just flat out suck but Colorado is obviously tanking and no one bats an eye. Discuss. - DynamicThreads

The D Core isnt overachieving like it did last year and its being exposed time and time again...Example Roy loves Nate Guenin in the line up bc he blocks a lot of shots and likes to pair him wtih Barrie but Guenin CF% without Barrie 35%, with Barrie 38.2%. Barrie without is over 50%. He has guys like thsi in the line up that cant carry the load by themselves and drags down the partner they are with. - DDM-Coga
Hasn't Varlamov been hurt since about the 3rd game of the year too?? |

No hes been playing recently, just isnt getting any support when he does. Either they blow out a team 5-0 or they get shelled early and often making it impossible to catch up. Down 4-0 to the Flyers to come back 4-3 is too late of an effort, 6-0 to the Islanders.

I'm sure this could be partially right. Teams see our plethora of young talent and trades we are making for positioning. It could be something like that.
I wish I could go back and see if teams like Pitt, Philly, Boston, and Chicago got this much flak when they were picking top 5 for multiple years. |

I went to the Avs vs Sabres game last year where we got shelled and Miller chased. That team is spectacular with talent but I see your point that the talent is very heavy up front and not deep in the back. The "return to norm" for the back end might be showing.
Myers wouldn't be a game changer for you guys any way. Be better off getting 2 solid guys than one with a high potential IMO. You already have that guy in Johnson |

I mean it more as a media fear rather than a true hockey fear. How can they beat down the poor small market but rabid fanbase if they're actually good????? |

Weather the storm this year, hopefully making a late season push for a wild card if they can get their act together soon. Try and sign a UFA like Staal and then deal wtih the ROR extention mess in the offseason.
A major inseason trade would be a sign they are giving up on this season and building for next |

How's Iggy doing?? I've always been a huge fan of his game and style. Last I saw his stats weren't jumping off the page but he brings much more than that to the ice each night. |

Terrible, but the vast majority of forwards are under preforming. But he is always in the mix and sticking up for the Kids. No one wants to fight him, he tries every game but it always gets broken up before it can happen |

If I'm not mistaken, it took him a while to get going last year in Boston as well. Give him time and he'll probably start producing.

Bettman stepped in and saved us in 2002 and that's about as big a favor as we'll ever get.
Edit: a draft lottery is a bad idea to begin with. It opens up your league to the idea of rigging. Then the only teams that are happy are the winners. Of course if you finished dead last and win it's like wow, gee thanks. |

Would make for an interesting end of the season.....2 teams, final 5 games. they are 29th and 30th and have a home and home their final 2 games. Who wins the top pick ? |
