Keep reading these "showing off" quotes regarding Steen but saw nothing on TV. What did I miss?

The guy now has 1 NHL fight under his belt.

May have said something on the ice, or was chirping the rest of the game. Then again maybe it is getting blow out of proportion by Ted. Who knows what happens on the ice? Lot of Smack gets talked every game.

Pretty good, Pach, but you and I part ways on this one:

"Last night the Sabres were up against a bigger, much more talented Blues' team and held up pretty well, all things considered."

I watched a team just get badly outclassed in every aspect of the game last night. One of the few things to go "right," if you want to call it that, is that the Sabres stood up for one another, but even in the scrums I thought we came out on the short end.

relative to most of the games they've played, especially against superior teams, I think they help up pretty well...

as for the scrum thing...no saying that they turned a corner, but it piqued my interest

Good times, Sharks were the ones actually starting stuff at the end of that game. Best part was Polak vs Braun.

Par for the course. This is what we wanted; an entertaining team to watch with an unfavorable outcome. That's exactly what happened in this game. The Sabres lost, yet they seemed to actually want to be involved.

I don't think they are "holding anything" That would mean they have a grasp something .

The spear was overblown imo, didn't look like he gave much of a shot there.

On the fight(s), Cole's hit was a little late and likely unnecessary, but with the way Ennis went in after Cole was already engaged, he shouldn't have been naive as to what was about to happen.

Also, how the Blues got the extra penalty when McCormick went after Steen after the whistle was baffling. Usually they call those extras on the losing team that is showing frustration.

One thing at a time. This group is finally sticking up for each other. That's better than a win in my book. Baby steps

Good for Zadorov he was in an awful spot between the NHL OHL and KHL. Took it into his own matter and figured it out. The best part about the fight (besides the uppercuts) was that he went straight at Cole who was the one to blame without any hesitation. IMO it proved that he has earned his spot in the locker room and is not just the kid that is still up because they dont know where to send him.

He doesn't play like the stereotypical Russian, but you can't expect him to completely ignore his origins lol

We are getting all sorts of crap for tanking on purpose but we just flat out suck but Colorado is obviously tanking and no one bats an eye. Discuss.

Not sure it's the same, the organization and the majority of our fans are pro tank, whereas the Avalanche are just underachieving. We went into the year hoping for a top pick, they were coming off a playoff appearance.

I suspect they (along with Columbus) will find their way out of the bottom 5 soon enough.
