Peter Tessier: Jets Blow Through Canes- Recap It wasn't always pretty but the Jets did some things they couldn't in Montreal to get 3-1 win.

What's the deal with Kane? No offence from him lately

Being used in tougher minutes to make the Jets better defensively. His numbers will suffer but it seems to be helping the team quite a bit.

Read Pete's blog on him from a few days ago.

Do I sense some excitement coming from you Pete about the Jets?? All those typos in the blog say yes!

Nice to read a blog like this from you, one full of praise and excitement without any advance stats and "don't forgets". Not like you crap on the team usually, not at all, just that this blog seemed different than the rest.

I just love that this team is clicking and winning without the offence going, imagine them when that really kicks in....

Go Jets go is all I gotta say.

The Scheif, Kane, Wheels line was dominant yesterday. Just a matter of time before they really light someone up.

Jets competed all over the ice far better than any competition the Canes have faced this season.
Since the Canes started their recent turn for the better, they've been able to avoid the forecheck with quick outlet passes out of their own zone. It has generally been effective, and worked a few times against the Jets, but Winnipeg did a good job of preventing the Canes from exiting their own zone cleanly and generally disrupted their play all night.

Kudos to Winnipeg, they're one extremely hard working group, and a lot faster than one would think.

With the Jets playing so well defensively and needing more scoring, I'm surprised Trouba doesn't get more chances on the powerplay.
