I suppose it's just far too simple to say that they're both playing well?

They were each other's most frequent linemates: 63% for Tangs, 55% for Vinny.

Vinny had 45 ES points that year. Tanguay had 30.

Just wasn't much chemistry there.

- Tomahawk

That statistic doesn't point that out. Tanguay wasn't on the top PP unit there. He only averaged 2:00 a game on the PP that year. While Lecavalier, Stamkos, And St. Louis averaged double that. Tanguay only had 7 points on the PP that year. Just because Tanguay had on off year, doesn't meant that there was a lack of chemistry between the two players. Or that there would be now. Tanguay has been up and down his entire career.

#Flyers say whatever injury Claude Giroux was evaluated for tonight doesn’t exist. He’s “fine” according to Ron Hextall. OK then.

RIP Claude

- Jsaquella

So he blew off a STH meeting why then?

Not that I really care, just interested after they said he was seeing doctors.

Claude Giroux was evaluated by team doctors tonight and he is fine, according to #Flyers GM Ron Hextall.

Im guessing torn ACL and rupture every other ligament.

- opeth_pa

Routine doctor evaluation? He may be fine, but does a player see a Doctor if there isn't some kind of issue?

I should've been more precise: Yes, I responded to what you just said.

It was your original premise that isn't worth my time

It wasn't routine but "fine" is good enough for me.

I've been very harsh and very quick to disagree with anyone who placess Voracek among the elite of wingers in the league. For me, the final results at season's end is far morw telling. With this said though, is the top line carrying this team or is Voracek carrying both the top line and this team on his back? This might sound odd to describe a player who is above a point per game this season but Giroux to me looks like an average star but because Voracek is on fire, Giroux continues to collect points. Giroux to me looks very predictable and so far Voracek is the exciting player to watch.
- SuperSchennBros

Here's my take. Right now, Voracek is very dynamic as a player. He's feeling it and it seems like every time he touches the puck, that he's going to do something special. I think maybe because of that, Giroux looks average in comparison, when in reality, Giroux is also playing dam good hockey. Nothing average about a player who is the top 10 in the NHL in scoring, and is on pace to set a career high in points and assists.

I think they are two different players who are both playing at a high level.

Jake is more dynamic in his skating but Giroux is a better stickhandler, passer and is doing great with faceoffs.

Currently Giroux is tied for 5th overall in scoring which is pretty great and if not for Voracek and his insane start people would be saying Giroux is doing what he does.

I personally don't see anything predictable about Giroux, he is performing right where he always has over the past 5 seasons which is as one of the top point producers in the league.

That being said, it's awesome watching Jake fly up the ice right now..Reminds me of a Lindros or Forsberg rush...
