Cleary playing Homey like a fiddle, turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

How that man, instead of getting fired actually got promoted and still having input to decisions the club makes is just...... Slap me sideways.

I work evening next week, 3-11.

They could be playing the Nunavut Ice Cats and I'd sleep easy.

- flyer_nutter

I plan on visiting Nunavut in January, walking around in a tshirt, bermuda shorts, and flip flops. Mind over matter. I shall walk through the cold like the opposition goes through the Flyers PK. Like gas through a funnel!!!!!

Might as well just come here. We have few inches of snow that are here to stay.

I've seen two rocky movies, the one around 2006 and the one with the Russian guy. Absolutely loved the Russian one. Was cheering hard for that machine.

Good news on Raffl. They could really use him back asap. He was really playing some great hockey.

Would love to see a 3rd line of him with Bellemare and Akeson.

I'm open to trading Laughton. I cant see his value ever being higher than it is now. But you know as soon as we trade him he will be the next great 2-way forward and captain multiple stanley cup teams.
- GOA88

really? a guy who is is his first year of pro hockey you cant see his value being any higher. please give your head a shake.

I dunno... not sure I see Hexy chipping away at the cap-space he manufactured 2017 and beyond to allow for more spending in the near term. It would seem to negate his entire reasoning behind trading Hartsy in the first place.

I understand your point, and if Umberger looked like he had anything left, I would agree.

But right now, he just looks done. They could still try him on the fourth line and that might work. It is possible that he could look better at 8-10 minutes per night.

But for me, it boils down to this: You can't just run a guy out there if he just can't play. Umberger has 66 games to show something, anything. But if he can't, then yes, I would absolutely eat $1.5 of dead money for two years than run a guy out there who just can't play.

Tough call, but I would make it that way

Personally, for all the stupidity and country boys club they have had running for the last while, I wouldn't be opposed to a decrease in ticket sales the next 3-4 years.

They deserve to have it shoved up their ass. Its like Toronto, what real incentive is there to improve the way you build, if the revenue is never at risk.

Oshie had been on IR for a while with a concussion. He was just activated. But even before that was stinking it up. 1 g 2 a in 10 games.

I don't get why everyone's so afraid to eat some money. We are slowly going to get more entry level contracts in on the team's payroll over the next couple years. I understand why Vinny's contract is a much bigger quandary. But really Umberger should be bought out or waived next year and bought out the next summer if cap space allows us to do that.

I think he is playing on the top line now. He has 1g and 1a in the two games he's been back. It's a bit of a risk, but I think he's the better option that 2real posted
