This might not be the best example in the world, but the Raiders game last night is the reason why teams love veteran players.

Justin Tuck a 10 year vet, called a TO after two younger players (Khalil Mack being one of them) started celebrating after a sack and not realizing down and distance.

If Tuck doesn't get that time out called, its probably a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct for celebrating.

Young players make crucial mistakes, and veterans help them learn how to win. I think last night is an example of that

Even if it's Moulson/Ennis or Stafford if they extend him. There are "able" bodies to play with.

I wouldn't be surprised if they want a very particular veteran type on his line if he plays right away. Someone who has the ability to score but understands defense at the pro level. I would assume one of the 3 you mentioned would be adequate. Gionta has to fit in somewhere too....he ain't going anywhere. Hodgson might actually be a decent 2nd winger for a great playmaking center, as long as he's not expected to be responsible defensively....or gets traded before next season.

Not sure why this is still a thing, he's locked up long term with the lightning and definitely not coming here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cody is part of a package deal somewhere.

It seems like Nolan doesn't like his effort and tries to bury him.
