Oilers are only a Dissapointment because we as fans put expectations on them . They fooled us again, and they'll get us again next year no matter who insert into the line up. The rotten core of Hall, Ebs and Schultz and their poopy diapers will never be a part of a successful group together. |

I don't know if i should appreciate you sticking up for us, or be sad that we suck so much that Flames fans feel bad for us |

Well it's a (frank)ing joke! I listen to the Fan960 this morning and yesterday morning and all it is is Oiler talk. Let's (frank)ing get over it already! |

True. I live in Calgary. I don't even get teased anymore, Flames fans seem to be legit sympathetic at this point. |

Oilers are a disappointment every season. Seems like its more of an expectation rather than a surprise.
Columbus is a bit surprising, but not too much.
For my money I would argue Colorado. The Avs should be much better. I expected regression from them, but not this bad. |

Ya I agree. C-Bus has had their fair share of injury problems too. So what do we expect?
I'm with you on the Colorado train. They seemed ready to become one of the big boy's in the west. |

Yeah I can get that expectation from fans of other teams. We Oiler fans drank the Kool aid with the kids and refused to believe they were part of the problem. Oh well, looks we bet on the wrong horses. Sad, but the real tragedy would be not recognizing it and cashing in our chips and making changes . Oulers management will ride out Hall, Nuge, Eberle, Schultz and Yak regardless of how dysfunctional they are . |

I was at the Jets/Oilers game last night so I have my thoughts on the Oiler problem. Although I don't have a large sample to draw on it seem as though some of their players have a dog collar on that gives them an electric shock if they cross the blue line to back check and help out the defence/goaltending. |

Dont get me wrong, I like the Oil. Draft after draft I kept thinking to myself, one day this team will be scary. Took me a while to realize there were bigger issues than the players and coaching. I feel for Oil fans, I really do.
Going to commend all of you Oil fans on one thing, even though your team may not be doing that great, you still find a way to fill your arena. Good on you. You may not sell out every game, but on a consistent basis, there is always 16,000+ fans there. If I'm a player, thats something I would want to work hard for. |

(frank) THAT!
Their dumb owner is stuffing his pockets with zero repercussion for his lack of EVERYTHING!
I would have nothing against any Oiler fan that quit going to the games. Why would you support that!? |

HockeyBuzz Hotstove: Hotstove: Biggest Disappointment This Season? - ToddCordellVAN
Another summer of development for Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn plus the addition of Jason Spezza and Ales Hemsky made the Stars look like true contenders. Through 25 games this season, however, they’ve looked like anything and everything but.
While their offense has been performing quite well, the Stars’s defense and goaltending have been a mess. The fact that they’ve allowed more goals against than the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres is unfathomable. It’s hardly a recipe for success. Further, their possession numbers have fallen significantly since last year, and their PDO is fairly average.
What does all that mean? Things are a mess right now in Dallas. And it’s hard to predict when things might get better. Disappointing doesn’t begin to describe it.
So adding two fairly 1-dimensional, high priced forward free agents was suppose to propel this team into the NHL's elite in a quarter of a seasons time? Brilliant analysis.
Dallas' GA being worst in the league has everything to do with the fact that Anders Lindback has 20 goals against in 5 starts. Make that number respectable (say, 10-12) and they're basically in the top 20-25. Obviously not good, but when you look at how young their D is now, it could be much worse.
Please never insinuate the Stars are anywhere near as bad as the Oilers or Columbus (at least, right now) defensively ever again.
You somehow confuse a team that's "a mess right now" with a team that simply hasn't hit it's stride yet. They are working in younger D, have already brought two players in via trade, and don't have a competent back-up goalie. Far to over zealous an analyzation. |

I dont go to hockey games to support management. Thats an unfortunate side effect of buying a ticket.
I go to cheer for the team I love. Its a win/lose, and management is going to be rich no matter how many games people choose to miss. |

I haven't given the Oilers a dime since before the last lock out. Actually, the only money any NHL team made off me was a few beers at the Saddle Dome when I got comp tickets. |
