Hanifin assured himself a spot in October.

I've got Hanifin, Butcher, McCoshen, Werenski, Santini, DeAngelo. In my mind, only the 7th spot is up for debate and I think it's between Collins & Carlo and, after last night, Carlo is firmly in the lead. Coming into this camp, I had it reversed because of Collins' offensive upside and willingness to jump into the play, but he looked a little slow earlier this week and made some bonehead moves last night & Carlo was so steady and reliable, great positioning and mafe excellent decisions. Downing isnt playing bad, but, like Dougherty, he just isn't exceptional and this is a tough blueline to crack.

I think he's on the outside looking in... Hasn't really distinguished himself above others bubblicious players.

Hard to say the WHL leading goal scorer deserved to be cut, especially in favor of Lawson Crouse and Nick Paul.
