NIce game last night, signs of who they were before, Lucic has been a beast for 2 games.... Hoping he doesn't go back into hiding now. Soderberg is
I think running a lineup of:
Marchy - Krejci - Pastranak --> Full of speed, finishing and creativity
Lucic - Bergy - Loui --> 2 Way game, a terror on the cycle game in the O-Zone
Kelly - Soderberg - Smith --> Nice 2 way play, responsible on both ends, scoring
4th Line I have no Idea... Paille on LW and some combo of Griffith, Cunningham, Caron on that line to have a bit if speed and skill with some grit. Caron has looked nice so far as he's adapted to a bottom 6 role nicely.
Rolling 3 lines should be the new MO rather than running 4 consistently.

THIS
When was the last time you can remember the 4th line as being helpful ??
Say what you want but I think it is Important to the Team and the Bruins just don't have it anymore.

Last year? LOL
It's true though, they should be using them max 5-7 min per game and Paille (if on L4 should be getting PK time etc) |

Such a great player when he's into it. So horrible when he is not. Is it crazy to let Krug and Smith go at the deadline and use that money to sign Soderberg? Leaves you pretty thin in those areas but he is such an amazing talent. Probably not gonna be here next year. |

Going to be some tough choices. I would like to keep the Yeti too. He has been one of our most consistent players. Smith can go, wont hurt my feelings. Would like to keep krug too, but at the right price. Wish we could dump more of the garbage we have at the deadline to free up some space. |

I believe we will have Iginla's bonus penalty off the books and the cap should also go up. I think we'll have 6mil +/- a couple mil to re-sign a few players. |

If we could get dougie and the yeti under contract for under 6mil I would be impressed. Having said that, I dont see it happening.
Thinking dougie will get a bridge, somewhere between 2.25 and 3mil for two years.
Soderberg could command 5+ on the open market. Not sure how he gets signed. Maybe buy out kelly to create some more space?

really? 2 years into the league, gonna be thirty, like the guy, but he's a 15 goal 3rd liner. I'd see him as Kelly money, I'm usually wrong but.... |

He's big and has put up above average #'s for a third liner. Not saying he's worth it, but someone will way overpay for him to be their 2nd C (Edm/Tor) |

I think so too..... Sucks but I wouldn't pay him 4.5 or 5M... In 3 years time we will be b!tching that he's over-payed blah blah blah.... I think if he takes 10.5-12M over 3 years or so that is ideal.

With Dougie, there's a good chance they slightly overpay on a long-term deal to keep those RFA rights for his next deal. Something like a 5YR/20-25M deal or so. |

If you get those terms you take it in a minute IMO... I think this would be a great number for them |
