I actually don't place too much emphasis on the posts in the first. The Rangers got throttled last night. Even if one of those shots goes in, I think the Islanders would have eventually overcome the deficit. The Rangers were skating in quick sand all last night, and the Islanders just took it to them. Indeed, it could have been worse.

I thought the Rangers controlled the first period then the Isles dominated the 2nd and 3rd

I think what you mean to say is Rangers skated Even with isles for 1st period. Isles dominated 2nd and 3rd. People fail to realize Lundquist didn't have a bad game. He was left high and dry. Only the SH goal by Nielsen was something he should have saved.

When Isles play their game, there isn't a team we cant beat in NHL. Rangers also didn't have a bad game, they just faced a way better team.

Bailey has always been very good, he just needs reminding that he cant slack off from time to time. He played a very strong game and in fact UnBailey-like put him self in some very good scoring position he fired some sizzlers.
I think he has been best player so far on LW on top line. Tavares seems to like that someone else can set him up.

Just asking, but u rather listen to Butchie than Rose? Regardless of his fanhood, Rose is a much, much, much better announcer.......

Butch at least knows the game. He might butcher (no pun intended) everyone name but doesn't spend 50% of the telecast trying to find a negative thing to say about islanders.

Also you are asking the less of two evils. I think both are aweful.

I think the game turned to the Islanders favor when I believe Nash and Brassard hit the post back to back...

FYI, Staple is answering questions on twitter and I asked him about the chances of Lubo being back next year and this was his response:

"Think they'll talk if Lubo wants to play another year, but I don't see it myself"

I could see them trading him at the deadline...next year Pulock and Reinhart are coming up...

I cannot see them trading Vish at the deadline. I'm not sure how much value he would have with these injuries and the Isles would probably just let him play out the season? I would let him walk after the season.

Exactly plus why would you trade him? That means you would be going with Strait or Donovan the rest of the way

It would not be worth the small return let alone having to use Strait or Donovan. I'd be more comfortable using Pulock or Reinhart.

LOL you'd have to be a blind hater to believe that.

No doubt you're the better team at the moment but don't tell me you think they played up to their potential. Like I said you're the better team (right not) and its no excuse for not showing up for this game.. but chilllllll with that

Yeah Vis isn't going anywhere for multiple reasons least of all him being a good defenseman. Even if Snow managed to get a decent 6/7 I doubt he's going anywhere.

If I'm another teams GM, I would not give up much for a guy that cannot stay healthy. i like Vish, but he cannot be counted on to stay healthy.

That's one of the multiple reasons why he won't be traded (IMO) that I was referring too.
