Wouldn't happen. Nashville is doing great for themselves. Why would they make a move like that?
OEL, Domi, top 12 pick is slightly more realistic. - hereticpride
Should do it. Just look at all the Cups the Flyers won with can't-miss Eric Lindros. If only Quebec/Colorado had kept him, they might have win a few themselves. Throwing an insane overpriced package at an unproven NHL player is always the right thing to do. |

He isn't a phyical defenseman, but I don't see him routinely muscled off of the puck. He routinely wins his share of the battles with a good stick, and moves the puck well in traffic, like that sweet pass he made the last game between his legs to break the puck out when he has outnumbered on the puck. What I want more from MacDonald is offensive output. That's the area of his game where I think he needs to improve. - MJL

I wouldn't trade Giroux unless it was a massive overpayment. I'd rather trade Voracek and keep the 1-2-3 punch of Giroux-McDavid-Couturier. Voracek could bring back a bunch of depth/high end prospect/picks - PhillySportsGuy
Yeah, lot of ways for a team like this to handle it.
If the return was big enough, I might even trade out of the top-2 picks entirely. |

I don't think I'd do that. It would take a team offering an RGIII type offer of like 4 first rounders |

Yeah because there is no way he isn't going to try and make something happen with his ice time. Reason why I would at least have White in the lineup. |

An OEL Domi centered deal would have my attention. Weber is just a bit too old at this point to feel good about trading away an 18yr old Crosby for. |

I just want to see Emery grab Crosby and beat the snot out of him. I don't care how many goals he gives up in the game. - BiggE
This just wont happen.
Emery will be down covering a puck. Crosby will get behind him and start punching him in the balls as he is known to do. This will just make Emery angry, and as Emery turns around to beat Crosby, both linesman, both refs, the PA announcer and Pierre McGuire will have thrown themselves in between them, thus protecting Crosby once again.

Bobby Farnham, freshly recalled here to Philly: ‘You watch so many Penguins-Flyers games, you know what’s expected.’ Yep

There is 0 guarantee that he will ever be nearly as good as Crosby. Do I think he'll be a good player who can challenge for a Hart/Art Ross one day? Sure, I can see that easily. Do I think that there's a chance that he won't? Absolutely. Having great junior numbers is no guarantee of professional success (Daigle, Gamauche). And even if you do have success, there's still next-tier guys like Thornton, Lecavalier, RNH, Kovalchuk, and Nash. Which of those guys would you trade a king's ransom for? |

Im really not sure what you want me to say. I said I would entertain offers for him. I'm not centering a deal around Weber when he is pushing 30 though.

Well, as guys like Lidstrom, Pronger, Bourque, and Neidermayer proved, once those elite defensemen hit 30, it's all downhill and they become useless spectators. |

I actually want to see Manning to get more then just a couple of games with the big club. He has been the best d man for the phatoms for a little bit now. I've seen good things out of him sometimes just give the kid a chance to see what he can do for 20 games and evaluate him after that. People probably disagree with me. I like his edgy play along with him getting the puck to the net. Our d is very bad and he is on a one year deal this is probably his last chance to stay with the organization. Hope he does well. Flyers offense needs more speed and someone who can purely put the puck in the net. We also need players who can hit more( or at least hit harder). We have big bodies who don't play like they have big bodies. We all know our d is horrible no need to get into that. We just have to live with our goalie situation right now with mason hurt. Hopefully a good draft and hopefully some cap dump can help this team. Couple of the right moves could help because I don't believe this team is that far off bring a good team. |
