Holy Hanna! You guys are ABSOLUTLEY pooched!! I'm sorry to hear about this, I truly am. It sucks tumbling down the standings. I much prefer to beat and be beaten by top opponents not a struggling team with brutal cap issues.

Thanks for the well wishes. Hopefully we get a top 5 pick and maybe get another first rounder by moving Coburn. Then we may listen to offers on Streit, Read, Grossmann, and dare I say it.... Couturier or baby Schenn..... Then we make SMART FA's pick ups. So we should be ok in a couple years.

I have a feeling Tampa healthy or not wont go far in the playoffs. They just arent quite built for it. IMO. I'd say the Rangers, Bruins and Habs are the teams likely competing for the east crown.

personally for Manning and Lauridsen I am happy for them to get NHL time again but I rather see them back in the AHL helping the Phantoms make the playoffs being the NHL season is lost.

I thought about this too since manning is the captain it would be nice for the phantoms and his own career to winning the calder cup. Maybe being with the big club until our d is healthy again will help him with confidence when he goes back down. who knows.
