Some of big Mike's moves were classic.

Brutal is more like it. Then again it could have been a blessing in disguise since it practically made snow build from the ground up and start all over

I'm just saying, some team thought so highly of those guys that they got returns of guys including Robert Luongo, Olli Jokinen, Todd Bertuzzi, and first round draft picks. Maybe we should find out if that GM is still around and give him a call.
- jmatchett383

Oh, then Dipietro won't fit in with your thought.

Nobody gave him a call.

Am I the only one who hoped or expected Robert Hagg to get a look at?

Love the new Avatar! Tankadelphia was good, but this is right up there

Just hope Garth is a little more discriminating than some other GM's regarding who he gives the LTC's to. A couple of bad deals can bite your behind for a long while.

yashin and dipietro are good reminders (although not his doing)

If Boychuk asks for the Brooks Orpik contract, do you walk?

I was hoping also but I understand the reasons to keep him on the Phantoms

I am happy to see Manning and Oliver.

I wonder how many cross checking penalties Lauridsen takes tonight?

That was some other guy, some time ago. Can we let that stuff go? That’s like saying watch out for walls in your high performance cars.

I actually think he’s worth more than that, and would happily give it to him.

He's gonna get 6 mil a year regardless so it might as well be from us. Who cares if he can't live up to it the last year or two of the deal IMO

It going to be a fun night. Easily the most underrated rivalry in Sports and one of the best in Hockey history.

Bill do you think Laughton sustained a concussion from that monstrous hit?
- arichardson22

We'll see. If he is not back right after AS break, probably a good suspicion.

He will.... and I would go in if other contracts shed first.

I get that he does a lot of the underlying stuff that doesn't always show up on the scoresheet... but no worries that this is just a career year for him in terms of production?

If we get rid of Coburn and Grossmann, I would sign him for Orpik money

Honestly don't care how many points he gets. He's a rock on defense and that's why I'd pay him.

the two are not comparable

the bad moves of a GM, it is OK to poke fun of and laugh at

the tragic death of pelle, well not so much
