It going to be a fun night. Easily the most underrated rivalry in Sports and one of the best in Hockey history.
- SuperSchennBros

it is a good rivalry

I hope the flyers play well

its hard to get too excited about tonight though, this season has sucked the life out of me

I don't mean to start a potential argument but the fans have stressed me out as much if not more then the team. Some guys get so mad when we lose but the same fans want them to lose so they have a shot at Connor McDavid. I'm not sure anyone knows what they want. When it comes to Penguins/Flyers, I want to win.

the two are not comparable

the bad moves of a GM, it is OK to poke fun of and laugh at

the tragic death of pelle, well not so much

- Marc D

I get that, milbury is a major sore point for me…I actually liked pelle…second favorite goalie of all time behind billy smith.

Try doing that for the better part of two decades and you’re an islanders fan. It has not been a kind period of time.

I root for them to win every night.

It is not fun when they are out of the playoff picture so early on.

Would love a top five pick though. Hanifin would look good with Sanheim, Gotisbehere, and Morin.

You guys were fun to watch when Peca, Yashin and Osgood came on board for two seasons...

That's the thing, I don't think this team is a "First Pick Overall" Team, so might as well make the most of this season. If we do pick up Noah Hanifin, I think I'm using one of Hagg or Gotisbehere to trade for a prospect on wing...or at least thinking about it.

Definitely was an improvement, but the team wasn’t as good as what we have now and had very little depth and no real young guys to grow on the team.

And that contract…oh my.

With the premium on having D these days, I am all for stocking up on the best D prospects available. I think a winger will be easier to pick up via free agency or in a trade like you mentioned.

Look at all these nice Islander fans.

The Flyers know all too well now what a trash fire is themselves, but you'd figure most of the NY fans would have left long ago after watching that poopshow for years.

I don't ever want my team (Flyers) to lose. Gettng the number 1 pick guarentees nothing. Look at the Oilers, how many have they had the last 10 years? I only get upset about the team when they don't even bother to show up. Only about 5 players on this team show up consistently night after night. The rest are only collecting a pay check. As for this season the only thing left to look forward to is we have 2 players on pace for 100pt seasons and to claim the art ross trophy. It has been since Lindros has a Flyer done that and since the 70's since we had 2 100 pt seasons. Other than, I know what this team is.

Hanafin would be great because he slides guys down the prospect depth chart a little bit. Ghost is likely NHL ready next year regardless but Hanafin buys you some more time to let Morin and Hagg refine their games.

I'd probably still hang onto all of those guys for the time being and look to land a winger with Coburn or someone already on the team.

I'd kind of like to see Ghost at least start the year in the AHL next year if not spend all of it there. It was a small sample size, but he looked nowhere near ready with his time up. Even with the tiny ass minutes berube "awarded" him.

The injury was an unfortunate set back. I'm excited to see Lauridsen up. Was a fan the first go around.

I didn't think Lauridsen did that bad of a job when he was up the first time around either, I just wonder why it has taken this long to recall him again. Especially with the garbage that gets rolled out night after night. Could he really be any worse? Guess we will find out tonight.

not ripping you guys today at all, asking you to beat the pens though

believe me, I know what a crappy team looks like...and ours lasted so long it was even more painful.

I don't really give a (frank) what other scouts say about him, the kid impressed me the first go around. He is more of the same, in regards to limited mobility shut down D but at least he brings that youthful/unproven energy.

I'd rather watch that then a bunch of has beens or proven never will be's.

Just busting your jiblets no worries here. For some reason cant take the Islanders seriously just yet, but if Halak gets on a hot streak, they could do some damage. East is wide open. Love Clutterbuck.

You don't want Franson. That guy sucks defensively. We will give you Grossmann. He could play with Hedman. He is physical, block shots.
Just give us a conditional 2nd rounder

Agreed. It has been awhile since bringing along a natural winger.

Definitely watching for G and Jake, but I think our mix of forwards within the bottom nine is a real concern.
