Hmmm, interesting. I have hated many. Right now its definitely Crosby. It's not because of his skill. It's because of his antics, he dives, whines, runs and hides from a fight, his crackling teenage voice during interviews. He is just a weasel.
I used to hate Kovalev and Kasparaitis. - GOA88

It took till the middle of January for Berube to call out Read and Umberger? Way to be on top of things coach. - Daveflyers36

Just for fun, Most Hated Penguin ever; and why?? - nbartley9
Darius Kasparaitis - don't need any reasons. he's a scumbag.
Runner up: Alexei Morozov - laughing while Lindros was incapacitated? Come on, have some class. |

One thing I will give Simmonds is that at least he shows emotion every night. Maybe his play is not always consistent but Simmonds will go out every night and hit someone .
This team is too soft. Maybe if we had other guys that could play a physical game, Simmonds could do more in other areas of his game.
Read has been horrid. - 3flyerkids
Simmonds is also misused and juggled around the lineup often. Currently playing with Rinaldo and Raffl as center. |

Well that is really a shame, and I don't appreciate you saying that. I hope tonight we can relight some fire under your hate. - nbartley9
It's just a fact. For most of each team's existences, one or the other was a bad team & the other was a contender. The only times that they really crossed paths when both were good was the tail end of Lemieux's first stint as a player in the mid to late 1990's and since 2008 through now.
Even now, the Pens could kick the living poop out of the Flyers tonight, and unless there's some dirty play or something, it'd be like losing to Minnesota or Nashville. The Flyers are entering a rebuild. We know we suck right now. |

That whole organization lacks class, has for quite some time. Philly has the bad rep but the Penguins have been a dirty teams for years. |

Exactly, the guy has had no stable line mates. The latest combination is just a joke. |

You know that means nothing tonight, there have been many years pre-Crosby and a few during the Crosby era that we sucked; but I still loved playing you guys; its the only game my wife and kids wont even sit in the same room with me during. The death threats get on their nerves pretty quickly, im not sure why... |

I actually disagree a little. i think he hasn't been really physicall. I think I notice more Raffl then anyone. I think Simmonds gets a pass sometimes because so many people like him. And I understand the linemates thing I was hoping for more from him when not scoring and really I don't see it. |

Honestly, to most of the older guys, the Penguins-Flyers "rivalry" is the third or fourth most important. Personally, I have a lot more hatred for the Rangers and Devils than the Penguins. - Jsaquella
Playing the Flyers has always meant more for Pens fans than Flyers fans.
Most Pittsburgh sports fans have struggled growing up in the 4th most important city in Pennsylvania, so they had to go to great lengths to manage the epic chip they maintain on their shoulders. |

I now people will think i am an idiot but tonight would be a great night to relieve some frustrations going into the All-star break. Could be a good night for a donny brooke - J35Bacher
Meh.... What's the purpose? This a dead team. Doing something staged like that really doesn't make much sense. |

Team might be dead but doesn't mean you can't come out and play a tough game. There are guys that are going to be on this team next year. Would be nice to see some character. |

In defense of Berube (and I rarely defend him) He really doesn't have much to work with outside the top line but putting Simmonds with Raffle and Rinaldo is a "I just don't know what I am doing" move. My opinion is that Rinaldo should never be on a line that is put together to spark some offense. Right now, there is just no place for Rinaldo to play including the 4th line. He sucks the offense right off the ice because outside of the occasional big hit, he is useless. |

I notice Raffl always getting knocked on his ass, but I hear you..at least he seems to be trying to get in there. Simmonds IMO is the only real " physical" threat. He is always in someone's face after a whistle or crease scuffle. They need more grit and balls on their top 9.
I hate to say it but it wouldn't hurt to have Rosehill here for a few games. Couldn't be worse than Rinaldo. |

Braydon Coburn yes, I really don't have much of a problem with Grossman. He is asked to do alot and on most nights he does a good job. Coburn is also asked to do alot and on most nights he just mucks it up. |
