Apparently Rinaldo was joking. But the quote is 100% accurate.
I hope the NHL makes a little joke, too.
"For a dangerous hit from behind, direct head contact and a late hit, plus being a repeat offender, Zac Rinaldo will be suspended for 8 games. For being a moron and joking about the hit after the game, Rinaldo will get an additional 5 games" - Jsaquella
i agree. (frank)ing douchenozzle no-talent asshat. |

What I Find most amazing is that the Flyers got out shot 17-3 in the first period. Final shot total was FLyers 40, Pens 35. Flyers out shot them 37 to 18 over the final two periods and OT. Of course the Flyers back to back PP's in OT helps that. - MJL
Pens had 6:30 worth of PP in the first period too. Still lopsided at ES in that period though |

If the Pens rung up 2 or 3 on that 5 minute major he earned, he could joke his way to Lehigh Valley. - johndewar
if anything hextal will be announcing the 10 year full nmc extension they just gave him because letting him hit that final year unsigned could jeopardize their plans |

maybe im just too cuddly, but i just could never think that way.
it downie or someone did that to streit it would still be upsetting. - stayinthefnnet
I'm with you, man. That hit was sickening and just showed how useless Rinaldo is. Hope Letang is alright especially with his injury history.

I'd like to see Hextall shred him to ribbons in the media. The (frank)ing guy might work his ass off, but he's too (frank)ing dumb to change and not a good enough player to justify keeping him on the roster.
Go get a guy who can play and bring a physical presence. |

I'd give him 3-4 games, based on just the hit but he's a repeat offender. I could see anywhere from 4-8 games, especially if Letang is hurt |

The Flyers got massacred in the first period in every way but the score. They really turned the game around after that.

Damien Cox @DamoSpin 6m6 minutes ago
Rinaldo with the twisted view of a great sport that sadly will receive much support. Basically, he's sayting intent to injure is a good play
Damien Cox has made enough straw men tonight to fill a hockey roster. No one is supporting this. And Rinaldo, knucklehead though he is, was joking. |

Emery deservedly gets 1st star. He play a great game...one goal was a little leaky, but he was fantastic early and damned good late when called upon. |

Yea, but you guys still had Sill and Farnham. How does a tough guy explain how he got his ass kicked by a French pacifist?

Remember how the Pens had the Flyers number the first couple of years in Crosby's career? seems like ages ago.
Crosby still gets his against this team but these days the Flyers just own the Pens. |

a lot of the pens shots were from farther out. and emery was very solid. hes still a pretty reliable tender. the best chance is to make him go east to west and the pens, for all their initial possession, really couldnt bring it into the critical areas to do that enough. |

Flyers had a lot of puck luck tonight. I think the Pens hit at least two posts. Ehrhoff ringed one off the post, and then the double poster late. The Vandevelde deflection goes in a good spot. Same with the Luke Schenn goal, how that got through I don't know, but I'll take it. Flyers normally have that kind of stuff go against them.

more players that should just not see the ice.
give me akesons over those guys all day.
and farnham got rocked, but really rebounded in the fight. if i remember correctly, he actually had him down and couldve gotten a few more shots in, but didnt.
but regardless. just wastes.
thats my point though. youre vapid void went to the locker room. i wish he could have taken the pair of them with him. |
