look i dont cry about the refs much here, as i like to always say: refs are like the weather, can't control y female dog about it? - JoeRussomanno
i loath reffing in this league. it sucks for everyone.
the pens were beneficiaries of more than their fair share of calls tonight.
they had 6 (frank)ing powerplays. you cant gripe that the refs are out to get you when you get out there 6 times. they did nothing with it, and as such deserved to lose.
my point was that the myth that crosby has a protective bubble around him from the refs needs to die. |

Emery deservedly gets 1st star. He play a great game...one goal was a little leaky, but he was fantastic early and damned good late when called upon. - Jsaquella
I don't feel he allowed a bad goal all night. Kunitz and Crosby on Streit and Kunitz has the puck. It was a nice shot with very little space to get through. He might have cheated a little but I think he had to in that situation. |

more players that should just not see the ice.
give me akesons over those guys all day.
and farnham got rocked, but really rebounded in the fight. if i remember correctly, he actually had him down and couldve gotten a few more shots in, but didnt.
but regardless. just wastes.
thats my point though. youre vapid void went to the locker room. i wish he could have taken the pair of them with him. - stayinthefnnet
Farnham pulled him down in desperation. He can claim he was standing, but he got his ass kicked. Two hard shots right to the chin.

I don't think the goalie should ever be blamed on a 2 on 1 goal. It was a perfect shot. He had no shot on the Bennet goal. |

They missed Letang on the PP. If Rinaldo has taken someone else out, this might have been a very different game.

Flyers had a lot of puck luck tonight. I think the Pens hit at least two posts. Ehrhoff ringed one off the post, and then the double poster late. The Vandevelde deflection goes in a good spot. Same with the Luke Schenn goal, how that got through I don't know, but I'll take it. Flyers normally have that kind of stuff go against them. - MJL
the flyers played a pretty good game. the heart as they always show against the pens. but the PK was solid. emery held his fort. after a slow start the flyers found some life at even strength too.
pens had 6 pps and couldnt convert. they didnt deserve to win. the flyers held the post when the waves were against them, and were able to hold serve enough to stay in it. they deserved their 2 points more than the pens deserved their 1.

The Flyers PK against the Pens PP is what really won the game for the Flyers. As hard as that is to believe the way the Flyers PK has been all year.

haha that one shot from PEB was a hell of a throw. cant take that from him at all.
good for him. not really a huge fan of fighting, but if you have 2 dudes that want to go, then it is what it is. |

He doesnt have the bubble anymore, he wore out his welcome
Buttman will pick a new golden boy in the near future to be his new Last Samurai, beat us into submission with his image in ads and we will all female dog about his bubble boy routine. It will be in another troubled franchises with danger of moving and fair weather fans that needs a Cup win to survive.

this is true. but still, letang or not. you have enough guys on that team where you should convert 1 out of the 6.
especially when you have a solid block of it in a 5 minute major. |

NBC made too much of him "Stoping himself" from hitting Bellemare but Farnham was lucky to land on top. He was embarrassed. Bellemare with the clear cut KO, nothing else matters. |

I realize it is only one game and a small sample size, but if I have to choose between playing Colaiacovo or Manning, based on tonight, I go with Manning. |

Why didn't Farnham get a penalty for removing his helmet prior to fighting? |

I really think the 2012 Flyers series and the 2013 Boston series pretty much wrapped up the whole Crosby is a saint, everyone should love him. |
