I think it has to be one of the silliest things to think the Islanders — FLUSH with youthful talent at offense — would trade for Yakupov.

This is simply a need the Islanders do not have.

The massive hard-on fantasy coming out of Edmonton for Reinhart is what's driving this.

Could it happen? I suppose anything is possible. Gretzky was traded.

I also don't believe Strome, Lee or Nelson would be moved. Islanders invested a lot of time in those players in development, and would be foolish to trade them as they yield positive results.

Problem is — I just don't think Garth Snow is as stupid as Mike Milbury, so the chances of it happening... less then 1%
