The idea of a goal scorer with Yaks potential playing on Tavares' line is a pretty wild thought though.

Yakupov makes some sense in MTL. Don't know what they give up, but makes sense froma style perspective.

Even a sixth for Polak. You have to think the Leafs would give the Kings at least a second for them to take Robidas.

if isles are giving up assets, its gonna be for a dman, an established dman who has some playoff experience or a ufa...not on an underachiever who is getting by based on his draft position

that's your perogative. He's not a bad D, but serves us no purpose IMO. If we're rebuilding, i don't see the point. But again that's just me. Too many players on this team that's failed for years now, are 'keepers' to leafs fans. It doesn't add up at all. Winnik, santo, polak....no more than 5th defenseman or 3rd/4th liners on good teams. useless to teams that need to blow it up and start from scratch.

I think we have to give up way more for anyone to take robidas. Forget the fact that robidas is 38/9 and horrible, his face is way too annoying and can disrupt any dressing room. What a signing!

Exactly. If I'm EDM I want the "plus, plus" to have considerable value...I'm not a huge Eller fan, but could see him as an epgrade for EDM. (I bet the Oilers would take Galchenyuk if they could have a do-over on that draft, but his knee injury was obviously a red flag)
