well habs top pairing is Subban and Markov. They won't trade Subban and you guys won't want Markov so I guess it would not work.

I'm all for a rebuild too, but somebody has to play defense till the youngsters are ready. If we just throw them all into the NHL before they are ready, we'll end up Luke Schenning 'em.

you can sign patchwork guys. Polak is one of the guys i have as 'if he's here, he's here' since he won't garner much of a return. He can join the unmovables like clarkson, koma, robidas, etc.

if we get a 3rd or higher, he's gone. WE need to be crap but not throw the kids to the wolves. Lots of options out there (take MDZ from this year)

Yakupov has not really panned out. If I were a GM I would be hesitant to give anything up for him. He seems like he would also be bad in the locker room. I would way rather have Crosby or Toews than Yakupov.

To me casting Vince Vaugh for this sort of show is reminiscent of the casting of Ben Affleck as Battman. Let's just say that it will be a up hill battle for him to convince me.

I knew he wasn't panning out but that downright pathetic. No way Habs trade Eller plus plus for that.

I also say no way oilers trade him period. They have to run with it now. Teams aren't going to give up anything valuable. So the oilers should cross their fingers and pray he's just a slow starter. No value in trading him

If I were Edmonton I'd want Reinhart, Strome, and Nelson . All kidding aside I'd probably ask for Reinhart and a pick. If I were the Islanders I'd be hard pressed to offer Reinhart alone at this point(even though I know the kid is probably going to tear it up when and if he gets traded) so I'd counter with Reinhart and a third for Yak and a 2nd. Gets us back into the top 40 of the draft and we roll the dice on a maybe winger for JT. I doubt the Oilers do this for the reasons I mentioned in my last post. I'd also be hesitant to do this as an Islanders fan. Just throwing it out there...

I would do Reinhart for Yak......why not. something tells me we will never see Griff in an Islanders uniform. If not to Edm, then certainly somewhere else
