I'd say someone where around that number maybe as high as 6 6.5 even depending on the term. He's almost at a whatever it takes level at this point. He was trying to do an interview the other day after the Ranger game and he couldn't hear himself with all of the fans chanting "PLEASE STAY JOHNNY!" . NY'ers are pretty direct

Holy Balls. 6.5 seems pretty steep. However, with inflated contracts these days, I can't say I would be surprised. He is a good player, and brings a great attitude to the locker room. If i had to guess, I would say he signs under 6. Maybe 5yr @ 28 or 29 mil.

You may be right but his upside is huge. He's a bit of a project/ Low risk high reward pick. Late first in a weak draft. Good pick IMO.

I'd be happy with that. His numbers are impressive. A lot of people don't realize his numbers this season are on track with some of the top defenseman in the league. It's his pay day and he's earned it so far.

Not to mention he is a goalies best friend. I think since he departed, Boston has seen an average of 7-10 more shots per game. Guy is also loyal. I would say he might come back to the B's, but I know he wont fit in our craptacular cap mess

Polak is one of the Leafs more solid performers this year, would be crazy to dump him for a 3rd rounder. Equivalent to trading Gunnerson, who was our #2, for a 3rd round pick! Nuts! No way.

I think we have to give up way more for anyone to take robidas. Forget the fact that robidas is 38/9 and horrible, his face is way too annoying and can disrupt any dressing room. What a signing!
