i've been saying burn it down since summer. I hate to say it...but as piss poor as edmonton has been, after adding (if you're lucky) eichel / or mcjesus..you guys will be set up real nice. I'd move eberle and yak for positional needs.

actually i was on here or there even after wins but i travel for work. ..like i said the other night, i'll be gone for a few weeks starting sunday.

plus i built up enough enemies in the summer telling all you guys we'd be a bottom 5 team this year....i got death threats so had to lay low. now you all seem to be saying what i was saying.

on a sidenote, yes i feel vindicated for saying bottom 5 all summer. But i don't rub it in like you guys say. I don't name call or use idiotic things like to knock other ppl's opinions.

I did go back the other night and revisit some summer threads. Some of the stuff ppl said when i was preaching bottom 5 and rebuilding was hillarious. "I know nothing"..."we added depth"..."clark is clueless"..."we're a playoff team with boston getting weaker etc. and detroit is done"....it's a real hoot. I'm just a realist and ppl don't like it...there's no excuse for this garbage franchise anymore.

I would trade Eberle but not Yakupov right now. Not a good enough return.

Streit looked like he was diminishing and on the wrong side of his career that last year with us I didn't blame Snow for not resigning him. He proved that theory wrong and I'm happy for the guy. He was a great player for us.

Yakupov has not really panned out. If I were a GM I would be hesitant to give anything up for him. He seems like he would also be bad in the locker room. I would way rather have Crosby or Toews than Yakupov.

meh, I think we had a team that could be top 6 and a playoff team...too much outside poop going on...RC on the hotseat right from day 1...not a good way to run a franchise. IMO

I agree we need to gut the core...no way a NHL team trades all 20 - we will keep some for sure.

Kessel/Phaneuf/Bozak/Gardiner/Franson/Reimer/Lupul have to go IMO
